Nationally--probably the same gap between Clinton and Trump.  But it would be distributed unevenly between the states (Cruz doing better in Arizona, Utah, etc, not as well as Trump in Pennsylvania).

Ted Cruz is a real, constitutional conservative. I wouldn't have even an ounce of reservation about supporting him.
This plus he would be doing better

He and Carly Fiorina are like Pugsley and Wednesday Addams grown up, but even that is still better than Trump or Clinton.

He'd be winning.

He'd have more money, better press, and the party behind him, and I guarantee that he'd still be trailing Hillary by a good margin.

He'd be doing slightly better, but he'd probably have less hope of winning, since although his floor would be much higher, his ceiling would be lower.

This.

The fortunes of Cruz would ebb and flow, but the one constant in the campaign would be Clinton's lead.

He'd be consistently trailing in the polls by less than 5%, a good convention could hand him the lead. Honestly, he would have handled Orlando far better than Trump and might have taken the lead for the moment. If Cruz were the presumptive nominee rn, he would be a little behind or tied with Hillary. It would definitely be a toss-up election.

His ceiling, barring a recession or a contested Democratic Convention or about that big, would be about 48.5%. His floor's probably 42-43%.

He would be winning. His supporters would be bored with all the winning he'd be doing in the polls.

Seriously though, any of the Republicans who ran would be doing better than Trump.

No. They'd be doing worse. But we'll never know now.

If Hillary wins now, the Pubs will never again win an election, in the foreseeable future, that is.

He would have gotten a solid lead from his post clinching bump but would be savaged by clintons tv ads, he had much lower name recognition and would be the same or slightly worse then trump.
