I'll start, I go to the Arab festival here in Central Florida every year and reminds me of my own culture as an Arab.

I also like to go to the Japanese cultural festival every now and then because I'm practically addicted to it lol

The Dickens Festival in Holly! Every year around Christmas time, a theater troupe does a low budget rendition of "A Christmas Carol" on the streets of Holly, MI! You can also buy sugared and roasted almonds and tour antique stores.

Went to a thing when I was a kid, can't remember the name of it, but it was basically "Yeah America!".  Fife and drum corps, sassafras tea, buck eyes, muskets and everybody dressed up in "old timey" garb are all I remember.

I've celebrated nerd culture at Renn Faire things...well, celebrated wouldn't be the right word, quietly made fun of would be more appropriate, oh and I enjoy a lot of big girl cleavage and there is always plenty of that.

A Cinco de Mayo carnival.  A lot of big girl cleavage there too.  Also approved.

I've been to large and small pro wrestling events, so you could say I've celebrated white trash culture.

I've been to a NASCAR event in Alabama, I've celebrated red neck culture.  A lot less fat girl cleavage at the last two.  They all wear tshirts with giant faces of white men on them.  Not sexy.

He said "culture" Wink

As for me, yes. It seems every ethnic group has something going on here in the warmer months.

Does Oktoberfest count?  LOL.

My parents used to go to the German-American festival when we lived in Peoria, though.

KC has two different Greek Fests that I go to every year.

Also, every August, there's the Ethnic Enrichment Festival, with about 40 booths.  I of course go for the food; I'm not really interested in the traditional dances or anything.  For the food, my favorites are (1) the chocolate raspberry torte from Lithuania; (2) the thing from Samoa whose name I don't remember, with rice, seaweed, and Spam; and (3) some curry I got at the Barbados booth for the first time this past summer.

I've also been to a Swedish festival once, a German festival once, and something once that included Russian food.

My mom lives in New Jersey.  Twice I've driven her to the opposite end of the state (New Brunswick) to a Hungarian festival.  My mother's parents emigrated from Hungary, or at least what used to be Hungary, so she enjoys some of the traditional activities more than I do.

So the short answer is yes, I have been to a culture fest.

Is there such a thing as a non-cultural festival...? Tongue

And yeah, I've been to loads.

I play the bagpipes, so I've been to dozens of highland games.
Taste of the Danforth in Toronto is basically a Greek food festival.
Carassauga in Mississauga celebrates a lot of different ethnic cultures.
The Richmond Night Market in British Columbia is basically a summer-long Asian festival...
St. Patrick's day events in New York.

.... it goes on.

I once ran a 5K in an event sponsored by a Pierogi Fest.  Otherwise, no.
