Agreed, it honestly pisses me off when people seriously change their view of people for DARING to like the "wrong" TV show. MLP FiM, although a children's show with a bizarre fanbase, is better than half of the generic drama stuff on major networks these days.

Hamilton was a literal monarchist with his hand in every British plot and probably racist. Jackson, while a racist warmongering authoritarian, was not a traitor. Both about equally awful, IMO.
