Could Donald Trump choose the Nevada governor as his running mate?
He could make up ground on Hispanics owing to sch a choice.

He might also pick up NV in the general which, along with FL, OH, IA and CO, would be enough to win.

He's pro-choice. End of the story.

Brian Sandoval will be Barack Obama's nominee to replace Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.

If any Republican can get away with it, it's Trump!  I don't think his supporters hear what he says, they just see his lips moving and see his face and are sold, haha.

Will the GOP really want to run Obama's Scalia replacement as a VP?

Its is true for Liberals, McConnell has to relent now and allow a vote. When Ginnsberg or Kennedy or Breyer leaves, we will get our Liberal

I for one am completely satisfied with that. Brian Sandoval is very reasonable and is doing good work in Nevada, and I appreciate Obama's efforts to reach a middle ground if he does consider him as the SCOTUS nominee. It's faces like him that should be the future of the Republican party.

Two thumbs up from me.

Sandoval is an actual good moderate, unlike the BLOOMBERG MODERATE HERO cult.

Normally this would be true, but Trump just won evangelicals in South Carolina after defending Planned Parenthood on a GOP debate stage.

With the caveat that they should no longer fund abortions, but fair point.

Even without the pro-choice thing... he's now forever tainted for just being considered by Obama for SCOTUS.

Obama has just done a rather good job at torpedoing any potential that was left in Brian Sandoval's political career. Which is a loss for us Republicans, despite his (apparently numerous!) unorthodoxies, even if some of them are hard to justify. (Forgoing the chance to weaken public-sector unions? Anti-abortion parental notification while being pro-notification for tanning or taking aspirin? Opposition to tort reform? Seriously, tort reform?)
