The fact that we don't know who the Democratic candidate will be says a lot about how valid the predictions you can make about this race are.

1 and a half years out, I say Ron Johnson has a 45% of winning re-election, so the Democratic candidate. Instead of complaining about these threads, we can actually predict and then come back to them in the future.

I think Ron Kind is the stronger candidate here. Kind represents the exact area that Johnson needs to do really well in to win the state. If Kind does well enough in his district then Johnson is a goner while Feingold will rely on the typical Madison/Milwaukee vote.

Kind or Feingold will, if Johnson's approval rating hits 37 percent.

If Kind or Feingold run, probably the Democrat.

Generic Democrat, because Wisconsin is a swing state that votes for senate and president for the winner, just like it did in 2012, It usually gets it right.

Ron Johnson's future depends if the democrats carry or not this state in a presidential election.

And that says alot because WI hasn't voted G O P since 1984, but seriously contested in 2000 by Dubya.  And Gore was a far weaker candidate than Hilary.

Ron Johnson is a slight underdog going into this race, but Democrats are far from having this seat in the bag.
