Statement on the SJoyce Fixer Amendment

I thought I would take time out of the IDS election to say a couple of words regarding the next legislative item coming up in the South, a constitutional amendment. The contents of which can be seen below:

Here is the bill with boldings and strikethroughs.

In short. It's mostly administrative changes of which I have no qualms. I am particularly glad the previous initiative system will be overhauled. Three voters to call a referendum on a regional law is horrendously low and as I mentioned in the legislature negates the effect of being 'lawmakers'. I have stated that I would prefer the threshold to be raised to 20%, though this is of minor concern in the grand scheme of things.

I would be more than happy to vote in favour of this amendment and endorse it for voter approval.

If any other southerners have an opinion on this, I'm a PM or 'reply' box away.

Election Victory Statement

So, the IDS election is over, and I'm very happy to say I've been re-elected to the Imperial Legislature! I won't bore y'all too much, but thanks for everyone who gave me a preference and a massive thanks for those special first preferences! Congratulations to Dereich who will be the next Emperor of the region, and to Zanas who too has been elected. I'm looking forward to working with both of these sound individuals. Commiserations to Jerry, whom I'm sure will continue to be a big influence in our region.

Now, who wants a cup of tea? Sadly, the office whiskey stocks need re-filling!

A Firearm Policy for the South

I've voted in favour of the bill below, as it's a simple, common sense consolidation of the current gun laws.

Next IDS election

On another note, I won't be standing for re-election to the Imperial Legislature. That's not to say I won't still be active in Atlasia, however I feel others can contribute to the regional debates greater than myself. I will carry out my duties until the end of my term.

Sad I am sad you will not be seeking re-election, but I wish you luck in whatever you do next in the game.

A note of thanks

I just want to make a short message thanking the voters of the IDS for their write-in votes in the regional election. Regardless of preference, it means a lot to know that southerners would like to see me serve in the Imperial Legislature once more. It's of vital importance, now more than ever, that the IDS returns legislators with strong conservative credentials, and with a record of advocating for regional rights.
