I would much rather live in Texas. Although I would like to visit the Appalachian mountains in Virginia some time.

Virginia

...and it's because of Texans.  They are annoying like people from Boston, just with a slightly less sillier sounding accent, noticeably less racist and substantially less combative in general.  People from Virginia tend to like where they're from (which there is nothing wrong with), they just ain't (generally) dicks about it.

Texas > Virginia

Unfortunately, as a Texan I will have to admit that Virginians > Texans.

Virginia, as it contains a substantial portion of the DC metropolitan area.

I've been to Virginia many times. Not only did my aunt and uncle live in Stafford, but my best friend lives in Williamsburg. I've never had a bad time there.

I think Texas might be good for a visit to see historical places like the Alamo, but I wouldn't ever want to spend and extended amount of time there.

This is a close call, but I'd have to say Texas.
