Well, it would have to be high, and violent revolution would have to be the only resort left to changing it. I don't really think I could say until that breaking point was actually reached.

It depends on how rich the person is.
If the government takes 99% of Bill Gate's money, no problem.

Interesting fact: I'm pretty sure he isn't. His donations are mixed, but I recall him doing fundraising for a Republican.

Bill Gates was a Democrat until the Clinton Administration sicked David Boies on his company. That kind of soured his relations with the party.

I read somewhere that 60% of Microsoft's campaign contributions were to the Democratic Party. I get the feeling the other 40% to the GOP all came from Gates himself.

If this was the 1950's, most people would be in revolt.

during the Second World War (which many misguided conservative war hawks like to compare Iraq to), the top tax rate was at 90%, i believe.  i don't recall any antitax revolts breaking out across the entire nation then.  and since we are in a middle of a war that many here on this forum compare to the second coming of the Second World War, no one, no matter how rich, is going to rebel -surely they wouldn't when the nation's very survival is at stake at the hands of a few bands of insurgents in Iraq......

I read an article written  by Bill Gates Senior, from fourth quarter 2003, and he was a mega liberal.  He claimed that we should pay taxes because we owe the goernment for our great society.

Bill Gates did say he supported Kerry.

Thing is, it would be hard to find enough people to support rebeling because the tax bracket changes every presidency.  I mean, during the Clinton years, rich people would be more likely to rebel because back then they were more heavily taxed.
