No, no, not the angus that is one of our forum's longest and finest members, the Angus 1/3 pounders that are being eliminated from the McD's menu

Probably the best tasting burger McDs sells, but it still sucks compared to the good burgers from the other top chains.  And I don't particularly hate McDonalds.  If I'm going to spend 4 bucks on a burger, I'd rather go to Hardees/CarlsJr or Wendys.

Ha, Gramps, those are among the worst things a person can put in his or her body. Fish and chicken (grilled or baked) only if one is to insist on any meat in one's diet. And then after that worry about the dairy and sugar, but red meat is the single best, easiest thing to eliminate.

I've never had one, friend.  As to red meat, I do like it....in decent quantities, and rare.  Mrs. Grumps eats fish and chicken, both grilled, and rarely red meat.  When I'm not up for chicken some nights I'll slap a nice ribeye on the grill instead.  I love fish nights.....always.  Chicken too, but sometimes a break is nice.

But McDonalds is not my friend.  Like the deadman, I'd rather have a Wendy's single cheese/everything on the rare occasion I want something fast.

Wendy's is by far the best of the "Big 3" burger chains.

Love the thread title.

I've been to McDonald's twice since I moved to Pennsylvania.  Wouldn't have gone there at all except that on those days when I let my son choose a restaurant he almost always picks McDonalds.  (Their food comes with toys and the one nearest me has a huge indoor playground, not just with the tubes and jumpies, but also with a little basketball setup and air hockey and video games.)  Both times I ordered the Angusburger.  Very satisfying.  FFood.

Long enough.

I love seafood and the overall Mediterranean menu. Really like that stuff - fish, veggies, hummus (make it myself - not that grocery store stuff), grape leaves, I like to load up at the olive bar at Giant Eagle, etc. Love all that, could eat it every day, and I really like salmon. I've had swordfish before, and while I do like it it's a little steak-ier in consistency than what I like, but it's good.

Don't remember the last time I had a hamburger, and that's no joke. I'm almost to where I don't really even like the smell of something like that cooking, which is blasphemy to any "real" football fan Wink and bacon or sausage I won't touch. It's weird, I don't even like the taste of it. No doubt it started a long time ago when I educated myself as to what it actually was. Then when I learned what it would do to me, that was it.

I haven't had any sort of fast food hamburger since I spent one summer working at a Burger King.  Seeing them stored in those warming trays for as long as they are put me off fast food ground beef forever.  I'll still order stuff like the Chicken Selects on the rare occasion I eat at one of those places, though.

My GF doesn't eat red meat (she basically sticks to pork, poultry, and fish), and I've definitely cut back my consumption in response.  I still like lamb chops too much to quit entirely, but I could certainly live without beef if I really put my mind to it.
