Oklahoma, since at least some of the other awful Senators (Lott, Chambliss, DeMint) are balanced with relatively tolerable counterparts (Cochran, Isakson, Graham).

DeMint is a good senator. Graham is a RINO and must go home

Graham is sane. DeMented DeMint is not.

Graham is insane, DeMint is sane, if quite misguided on foreign policy and his personal beliefs on social issues.

Washington, California, New York for Democrats. Oklahoma and Arizona for the Republicans.

Arkansas (Pryor + Boozman). This was one of the best, now its one of the worst.

With the 2010 election, FL, PA and WI will also have pretty bad pairs.

Just curious, how do you come to be such a fan of Blanche Lincoln, yet such an apparant foe of her ideological twin (with more personal character) Pryor?

I prefer Pryor to Lincoln. He's better on just about every issue besides abortion, and it's not like Lincoln was anything other than really wishy-washy on it.

Lincoln has more personality than Pryor does. I like both of them. I can't say the same for Congrssman Boozman.

I never said anything bad about Pryor. I think he's a great fit for Arkansas.

Both Pryor and Lincoln are to the right of me, but then again, I don't expect Arkansas to elect a Bernie Sanders either!

I'm surprised Alaska wasn't mentioned when this thread was first made.

For the upcoming session... The worst:

(D) duo: New Jersey--two corrupt HPs
(R) duo: Oklahoma--two evil HPs
Split: Nevada--NE and LA were also close.  Stunningly mediocre.

As for the best:

(D) duo: Rhode Island--very principled guys in Reed and Whitehouse
(R) duo: Tennessee--slim pickings among the R duos. Both Corker and Alexander seem fair
Split: Ohio--Brown is one of the best, Voinvich was good and Portman seems alright, too.
