Rail privatisation was an utter failure in this country. The state now spends more than it did when British Rail was around, and the infrastructure has had to be renationalised.

No (D)

Regulation should definitely increase.

This country already has TONS of regulation. Why not enforce what's already on the books? When we have systematic failures why do you think creating more systems would be the answer?

Yep we have too many regulations. I mean think about it. You wake up to news about the government bailing out those who contribute to campaigns. Then you eat breakfast, but it's FDA approved food. Then on your way to work you drop your kids off at the government run public school while driving your car that had to pass government emissions testing. Before stopping to get gas and pay a gas tax you drop off a letter at the government run post office. At work you have to abide by all kinds of osha rules. Then on your way home you stop to get dinner at McDonald's who already had to ban trans fats. Before going to bed you go through the mail to find that you're being audited because the government thinks they are entitled to more of your money.

Presumably you would like your food to be unregulated.

this forum is about oil, not food. If that's what you got out of what I wrote then I can't help you. Presumably you enjoy the government being that involved with your personal life.

Personally I'm rather partial to someone checking out the food I eat, but alright.
