And this closing the bars on election day...

The one day every 4 years when you really need a drink...

Heavens no, don't close them. My wife's grandfather won a race for selectman in MA many years ago. The race was close, and his GOTV included heading to the local bar on election day and finding those who hadn't voted. He found one, and that was his margin of victory.

I would think that the Libertarian position would be that the networks can air whatever they want to, and that MLB can play its games whenever it wants to, and that both should thus be without any governmental interference on this.

In other words, I would think you would oppose such an Amendment, Vorlon. Although I am not so stupid as to think that you aren't joking, so don't worry. Smiley

What were they thinking of when they scheduled the debates?

Let's see, I can watch either:

a)  Bush and Kerry; or
b)  New York and Boston.

Talk about a lousy set of options.

I selected c) Stab myself in the head and neck area.

I'm in law school.  Option c) sounds more pleasant.

The ratings for both would be higher.

Haha. ;-)

Actually, I chose not to have a TV. I end up wasting time on the internet instead, but at least it's more literary and interactive.

Oh, well if you're going to be a lawyer, I think many on this list would like you to stab yourself first. ;-)

If you had cable, at least you had the choice of Houston and St. Louis as well.

Haha...wrong guy.  I'm not trying to be a trial lawyer.

Oh wait -- I want to be a corporate lawyer.  Haha.
