For a sitting governor who has been on the campaign trail for the better part of year, those numbers are astronomical.

Keep in mind, this is only Republican primary voters being polled. Obviously if you polled all voters, his approval number wouldn't be so high.

Christie was pretty badly underwater with Republican voters in NJ largely because of his pathetic campaigning.
