... it was Norah O'Donnell, that fake Irish Woman on CBS.

Quote
O'Donnell was born in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Noreen Bernadette (O'Kane) and Francis Lawrence O'Donnell, a doctor and US Army officer. Her parents are both of Irish descent, with roots in Derry, Belfast, and Donegal (meaning she is descended from both sides of the Irish Border).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norah_O%27Donnell

Why is she a "fake Irish Woman"?
Her bio claims otherwise.
(You are weird.)

I wonder how Trump gets himself out of this predicament.

Deny and deflect, how he so often got out.
I've become more skeptical that anything just finishes him off entirely. Because it should have happened hundreds of times and still didn't.

Right. If I was a betting man, I'd bet that nothing comes of any of this - J6, the FBI raid, his tax evasion lawsuit in NY, or the GA election probe.

If you were a betting man, I believe you would have said that there would be zero chance of the Feds raiding Mar-a-Lago with a search warrant.
And you would have lost.
So don't count those others items you listed as "nothing comes" from them.

Fox News looks to be trying to drop to a level below NewsMax. I used to think Ruper Murdoch was a little better than this. How much longer will the remaining few journalists that work there last? I'm happy Chris Wallace was able to get out of there.

Who is the idiot on the right-hand side, in the second video?
I can not believe that he is trying to compare "the motorcade route no longer being classified any more, after the route has been taken," compared to the documents that trump had.
Does he honestly want us to believe that the documents the Orange Buffoon had were "old presidential motorcade routes"?
How f*ing absurd is that?

Sounds pretty bad when you put it like this:

This is absolutely valid.
If there were names of US operatives/spies in other countries, in those documents, then these people are at risk. Who knows who saw those documents when at the Orange Buffoon's home, and now that everyone and their grandmother has seen them within the FBI/courts/etc, you can not take a chance with their safety.

This is all a massive consequence (and loss) because of trump's childish behavior to wanting to keep those documents, as if they were his cute-little-toys to play with.

There's always a tweetclip.

I know, I know. Pointing out the hypocrisy of Republicans is like pointing out that water is wet. But it bears repeating that the goal of the GOP is the destruction of rule of law in order to enable their own abuse. It is important that we do not become numb to the endless stream of Republican falsehoods. Trump needs to be brought to justice, and the Republican Party destroyed as a political force.

That video was absolutely hilarious.
Thank you ghost.

I had a strong feeling the appeals court was going to rule in favor of the DOJ.
Good to see.

Have we've ever had a more intellectually incompetent President?

Can you believe a pretty-big chunk of the US population want this Idiot back as our president?
They don't care that we have an Moron, who could destroy our nation or world, just as long as he is back in office and they won to own the libs.

Trump employee tells FBI that Trump directed boxes to be moved at Mar-a-Lago after subpoena served.

... The Trump employee initially denied handling sensitive documents or boxes at Mar-a-Lago, according to the source. But the FBI developed evidence that prompted investigators to go back to the witness, who revised their story to say Trump had given instructions to move the boxes.

https://us.cnn.com/2022/10/12/politics/trump-employee-fbi-mar-a-lago-boxes/index.html

This was also indicated above in a Tweet, but I think this story may get bigger, due to the fact that the employee first lied (told a different story), and then changed his story, because the FBI had evidence (probably perfect video, DUH) showing the employee moving the boxes. Oops.

Yeah. trump needs to be prosecuted and in jail.

And who told/directed this employee to lie? trump himself? trump's lawyers?

https://www.cnn.com/2022/12/08/politics/doj-trump-contempt-classified-documents/index.html

Quote
The Justice Department is asking a federal judge to hold Donald Trump in contempt of court for failing to comply with a subpoena issued this summer ordering the former president to turn over records marked classified, two sources familiar with the matter told CNN.

The development comes after Trump’s legal team said it conducted searches at four locations just before Thanksgiving, finding two documents with classified markings at a storage facility in Florida. The Trump team turned over those two documents to the FBI and announced to a federal judge in Washington, DC, that they believed Trump was now in compliance with a 6-month-old subpoena.

But the Justice Department disagreed. And in an escalation last week, department prosecutors told DC District Chief Judge Beryl Howell, who oversees federal grand jury proceedings there, that the searches weren’t satisfactory. The contempt proceedings before Howell are under seal.

Good. Hopefully he goes to jail for this too, as a little appetizer.
But that excerpt is interesting - does it mean the DoJ thinks that there are yet more documents out there?

It probably means that there are classified documents that were in Trump's custody in the White House per inventory lists or logs or whatever, which are still missing. This could all be resolved if Trump would just fess up that he destroyed those documents, or handed them over to Putin, or whatever.

I agree that there must have been someone responsible for logs (inventory lists) that clearly say that certain documents went directly to donald trump (into the Oval Office), and did not come back-out.
I can not imagine that there were no (very strong) internal controls in place, to protect these vital and very secretive documents that our federal government is responsible for. Tracking were every single document is/was (who last possessed, or someone higher-up who demanded to keep it) must be recorded.

Former President Donald Trump's legal team has formally requested a meeting with Attorney General Merrick Garland, amid fears from his attorneys that the coming weeks could bring a possible indictment of Trump regarding his alleged efforts to retain materials after leaving office and to obstruct the government's attempts to retrieve them.

The letter, though thin on details, was sent so Trump's lawyers could present arguments that Trump should not be charged in the investigation related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents, sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fearing-indictment-imminent-classified-docs-probe-trump-team/story?id=99506836

Here's the letter:

What kind of Clownish lawyers (law firm), would produce such a tasteless and unprofessional letter to the Attorney General of the United States? I mean, to include Biden's "son Hunter" and all that hogwash in there, is just embarrassing.
Do these people have no shame?

Trump's thoughts on the meeting today.

Quote
HOW CAN DOJ POSSIBLY CHARGE ME, WHO DID NOTHING WRONG, WHEN NO OTHER PRESIDENT’S WERE CHARGED, WHEN JOE BIDEN WON’T BE CHARGED FOR ANYTHING, INCLUDING THE FACT THAT HE HAS 1,850 BOXES, MUCH OF IT CLASSIFIED, AND SOME DATING BACK TO HIS SENATE DAY WHEN EVEN DEMOCRAT SENATORS ARE SHOCKED. ALSO, PRESIDENT CLINTON HAD DOCUMENTS, AND WON IN COURT. CROOKED HILLARY DELETED 33,000 EMAILS, MANY CLASSIFIED, AND WASN’T EVEN CLOSE TO BEING CHARGED! ONLY TRUMP - THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!

Does anyone know where trump is getting (and keeps repeating) this "1850 boxes" about Biden?
And LMAO at him still going on about Hillary's emails.

IT'S OVER FOR TRUMP!

His Defense Attorneys who were slated to defend in the Indictment by the DOJ Jim Trusty & John Rowley have RESIGNED!!!!

It's all falling apart for Trump!

Wow. That is huge.
I guess trump can quickly scrounge-up his best attorneys, Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, to be there in federal court with him for the arraignment on Tuesday.

Did we ever get to the root of why Trump thought he could take all these documents with him?

I think it's as simple as Trump believing he's entitled to do whatever he feels like, and rules don't matter.  He fits all the characteristics of a narcissistic sociopath.

How could Roll Roons not see/understand this, all on his own?
It's so obvious and starring you right in the face, that trump is a Classified (no pun intended) Lunatic.
But I guess if someone wants to wear huge Trump-Cultist horse blinders for over 7 years, that's your choice.

Glad the trump family took the security of these documents so seriously.

OK, maybe you are not a Trump Cultist, but did you see it from day one in 2015, that he was a Narcissistic Classified Lunatic Sociopath ? And did you vote for him in 2016/2020?

Jim Jordan making a fool of himself, trying to argue that trump declassified the documents before he left office. But we all know that is hogwash, directly from the recorded words form the Orange Buffoon himself.

There are so many counts, and most come with a possible penalty of 10 years. If he is in for the full term, I don't know if he will come out alive.

I also recall overclassification being an argument that this isn't a big deal, it was all letters from Obama and Kim Jung Un. But based on the documents and markings listed in the indictment I think we can say this is not true for many if not all of the documents. Furthermore, the Washington Post story 3 days after the raid that Trump had nuclear documents is borne out by the indictment.

The indictment mentions that at least some of the material retained by Trump was "newspapers and press clippings."  Agencies have been known to classify such material before, which is a clear example of over-classification.

Do you honestly think that Smith would pursue this, if all of the secret/classified documents found in trump's possession were nothing but "over-classified newspaper and press clippings" ?

Why Trump's comparison to Biden's 1,850 boxes is a false equivalency.

Click here to watch CNN video:
https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2023/06/10/trump-biden-classified-documents-holmes-dale-acostanr-vpx.cnn

I have been wondering for some time now, why the Hell trump is stuck on this "1,850 Biden boxes" nonsense. Here is some explanation (and facts) on what that is all about.
And of course, his cultish supporters are eating-it-up at the rally (in the video), when he is discussing it.

Again, what’s preventing a future Republican administration from prosecuting Biden? He technically broke the wall as well- “I didn’t know they were classified” or “I didn’t bring them here on accident” is not an excuse that makes the action legal.

Actually, you're just wrong.  The statute specifies "willful retention."  It would probably have been better for you to educate yourself before posting.

He, and people like him, come to (ignorant) conclusions like they do, because they get their news and "facts" from moronic networks that put-out ______ like this one ....

It's no wonder they can not make a proper distinction using any kind of basic logic to the legal questions they have about the occurrences of politicians that have had documents they should not be holding. They have literally been brain-washed and "trained" to not apply an ounce of truth, but just shout-out BS and whataboutism to what competent lawyers and scholars-of-the-field are saying.
