Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) says there likely isn't enough Republican support to repeal Obamacare .... "Not even 40 votes to repeal."

I seems the gallery in the Senate is trying to interrupt the vote.
They have been screaming "Kill the Bill and "Shame" over and over again for about 3 minutes now.
LOL.

Will McCain be swayed by the fact that it has "hit home" that insurance is important, and will vote NO to insure insurance stays for millions who can/will lose it ?

Is this turning out to be some "Mission Accomplished banner" deal?

Remember, this is only a Motion to Proceed vote.
The vote in the future to a complete repeal of ObamaCare, or to repeal and replace, will be MUCH MORE DIFFICULT TO PASS.

So yes, in a way this could be just another "Mission Accomplished" banner. LOL.

So, this is EXACTLY a "Mission Accomplished" moment.

Yes I agree. (I added an addl sentence to my original post.)

McConnell did leave Johnson for dead last year. Still, i'd be shocked if he votes no.

I will be very shocked also.
Strange delay though ..... Hmmmmmm.

And now they need to...you know...come up with a bill that they can actually get 50 votes on. A whole different game than just a motion to proceed.

Wake up and stop being naive. This is going to pass.

Anything the GOP puts up is going to be more difficult.
Moderates will likely vote No if the bill reduces coverage too much on too many.
Conservatives (think Sen. Rand Paul) will not like it because it doesn't "repeal" enough (or completely).
McCain right now, is saying he does not like the GOP that exist right now, and he will vote No.

Six GOP Senators voted for a bill in 2015 and against the same bill in 2017 with the only difference being that they knew the 2015 bill would be vetoed.

The seventh Senator, Collins, was the only vote that was consistent from 2015 to 2017.
Good for her !

Murray Motion ahead 47-46. Still Party Line so far.

Wulfric,
Big thank you for doing an excellent job on keeping us to the minute on vote count, and other info regarding all the bills, amendments, debating, etc.

Nobody cares about that vote.

I know this isn't the "big vote."
I'm saying in general, Wulfric has been giving us updates throughout the past couple of days or so.
Can I complement someone, without your ass**** attitude ?

Lol, Collins and Murkowski aren't letting Pence talk to McCain alone.

I think the fear is now that if McCain is indeed a no, Heller could bolt too.

I can see that happening.

Do you guys think that McCain has been convinced because of his recent diagnosis ?
If he votes No, maybe the Spirit In The Sky does exist and had a plan.
Not trying to make fun of McCain or his condition. All seriousness, I feel awful for him and hopes he truly recovers.
