No. At this point, I'm not even sure he could get confirmed to a cabinet post by the current Senate.

He could also still end up in jail.

he has thrown away all of his political capital when kneeling before trump and than got thrown away by his new master.

angered tea party types before, alienated the middle of the US....he has...eh...burned all bridges.

Assuming that he didn't close them down in the first place.
Perhaps he would prefer to close them down, then burn them.
