I think a serious investment in this race is worthwhile not just for the Senate, but also for the House. There are three highly competitive House seats in Ohio (OH-01, OH-09, OH-13). If Democrats can sweep them, it'd be a net gain out of the state. There's also the OH Supreme Court, which most of us who follow redistricting should know about by now.

Vance will beat Ryan by 8-10 Points. From the Data I could gather thus far President Bidens Student Loan Forgiveness Program might lure some younger Voters to the Polls in November. However there seems to be a sizeable blacklash among blue collar white working class voters, voters Ryan needs to beat Vance. So the Student Loan Bailout is a net negative for Biden the Democrats particularly in those State who have a high concentration of Blue Collar WWC Voters.

Biden effectivly handed the Senate Race to Vance.

Roll Eyes

And Kathy Hochul is only going to win by 5 points!

If there's one thing that restrains any optimism I may have for this race, it is the relative competence of the Ohio Republican Party. They know how to win as much as the Florida Democratic Party knows how to lose.

Not really.  That used to be true from like 1994-2004, but they’re basically just a generic Trumpy state party at this point.  OTOH, the Ohio Democratic Party has been a dumpster fire for decades.

I would generally say the Ohio Democratic Party is more competent than the Florida Democratic Party. Ted Strickland almost pulled off reelection in a hideous environment with bad approvals. I suppose the Ohio Republican Party is essentially running off the institution that is Mike DeWine. He definitely appears more moderate than he lets on. On the other hand, I think he was like the first or second governor to close schools in spring of 2020.

He needs to make that into an ad ASAP.
