Just for fun, you are an average ordinary citizen in 2050.  A pollster contacts you and asks you to rank all the Presidents of the 21st century in order of best to worst  starting from Bill Clinton.  How would you respond?

Technically speaking, Bill Clinton was only president in the 21st century for roughly 20 days until George W. Bush was sworn in.

Regarding the question, as we only know of one single real president so far in the 21st century, I guess my list would be the following:

George W. Bush

You have no imagination.  You are supposed to speculate.

President List (including Vice Presidents) 2001-2050

William J. Clinton (D) 1993-2001   Albert A. Gore

George W. Bush (R) 2001-2009   Richard B. Cheney

John R. Edwards (D) 2009-2017   William "Bill" Richardson

Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) 2017-2025  George P. Bush

George P. Bush (R) 2025-2033  Don Staples

Barack Obama (D) 2033-2041  Chelsea Clinton

Chris Soult (R) 2041-2045   Paul Brunsel

Eric Nyman (D) 2045-2053  Patrick Guinan

Ratings:

1. Schwarzenegger (General peace and prosperity. Gives off a Reagan type of optimism. Defeats Harold Ford, Jr. in a landslide in hsi reelection run in 2020.)

2. Obama ("That skinny kid with the weird last name" is trully a loved president, hated only by the far far right wing.)

3. G. P. Bush (Presides over a strong economy from 2025-2031. In 2031 a massive recession begins, which leads to the election of Senate Majority Leader Obama over Vice President Staples.)

4. Edwards (Many think of his years as much like the Clinton Years, minus the sex scandals)

5. Nyman (Elected due mainly to a split in the Republican Party between centrists and neo-cons. Finaly creates a fragile peace in the Mideast durring the "Boston Accords" that give the Palestinians some what of a homeland in the Siani Penninsula)

6. Clinton (Despite a great economy, the baffles in Somalia and Bosnia along with the impeachment killed him in the polling)

7. G.W. Bush (Though rated high in the top 20 in a 2040 poll, too many great presidents have passed by this man who had the "privalege" of being the first War on Terror President)

8. Soult (Got caught up in a massive recession (almost Depression) that was not his fault, is still blamed to this day. As his Vice President Paul W. Brunsel put it, "It was the 'Hoover Effect.' "

Hey!!!!!  >(

It's okay, I was planning to get into office off the Nyman Recession.  Smiley

Also, I detect some sarcasm in you answers, PB.  Don't think that history will judge Bush so poorly.

1. Barack Obama (2021-29)
2. Eric Nyman (29-37)

Fun.

Barack Obama (D) 2033-2041  Chelsea Clinton
Chris Soult (R) 2041-2045   Paul Brunsel
Eric Nyman (D) 2045-2053  Patrick Guinan

More fun.

Damn, and to think I could have defeated Barack Obama.  Even if he served two full terms, I wouldn't be old enough to succeed him now.
