Just for fun, you are an average ordinary citizen in 2050.  A pollster contacts you and asks you to rank all the Presidents of the 21st century in order of best to worst  starting from Bill Clinton.  How would you respond?

Technically speaking, Bill Clinton was only president in the 21st century for roughly 20 days until George W. Bush was sworn in.

Regarding the question, as we only know of one single real president so far in the 21st century, I guess my list would be the following:

George W. Bush

2. Bill Frist (09-13)
3. Bill Clinton (00-01)

As far as I'll go.

Well, okay, here's some speculation:

Bill Clinton (1992-2000)
George W. Bush (2001-2050)

Bush is reelected to a second term and then decides to declare himself Dictator-for-Life because he just knows that America will fall apart if he isn't leading it. Smiley

It's highly unlikely that Bush will even be alive in 2050.

1. Barack Obama (2021-29)
2. Eric Nyman (29-37)
3. John Edwards (17-21)
4. John Kerry (05-13)
5. Bill Clinton (93-01)
6. Arnold Schwarzenegger (13-17)
7. George P Bush (37-45)
8. George W Bush (01-05)

Since Verin is still serving his second term we can't judge his performance just yet. Ask me in 2053 (the year in which newly elected President PBrunsel declared every day to be Herbert Hoover Day).  Wink

Me. When Australia joins the United States of the World in 2033, under Harry's second (ultraexpansionist) term, I'll be eligible. In 2044, after two terms of Pbrunsel/Ford, I'll run with ILV and win in a squeaker. In 2048 I win by a large margin but die in June of 2049 after choking on a vegemite sandwich.  ILV is president from 2049-?

Smiley

In between now and 2028 (when Harry is first elected)?

2004=-Kerry (D-MA) not much happened
2008=Kerry (D-MA) democrats won both houses, not much else
2012=Clinton (D-NY) major terrorist attack, congress building destroyed.
2016=Romney (R-MA) Congress rebuilt, made much much larger, GOP wins senate.
2020=Johnson (R-TN) Some carribean islands bond together to become states, Canada joins as 4 states and 1 territory, Puerto Rico becomes a state
2024=Johnson (R-TN) Pacific Nations join together to become 57th state, war on terrorism officially won, war on neo fascism just starting (against Russia, eastern Europe, Germany, India and some southeast asian countries)

And a ranking...

1. (W.) Clinton
2. ILV
3. Kerry
4. Johnson
5. Nelson
6. Brunsel
7. (H.) Clinton
8. Romney
9. Bush
10. Hugh Wink

I get ranked fso low despite winning the war on fascism, paying off the nationao debt and instituting an era of peace and prosperity because I choke on a piece of toast with vegemite on it-how stupid can you get? Wink

President List (including Vice Presidents) 2001-2050

William J. Clinton (D) 1993-2001   Albert A. Gore

George W. Bush (R) 2001-2009   Richard B. Cheney

John R. Edwards (D) 2009-2017   William "Bill" Richardson

Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) 2017-2025  George P. Bush

George P. Bush (R) 2025-2033  Don Staples

Barack Obama (D) 2033-2041  Chelsea Clinton

Chris Soult (R) 2041-2045   Paul Brunsel

Eric Nyman (D) 2045-2053  Patrick Guinan

Ratings:

1. Schwarzenegger (General peace and prosperity. Gives off a Reagan type of optimism. Defeats Harold Ford, Jr. in a landslide in hsi reelection run in 2020.)

2. Obama ("That skinny kid with the weird last name" is trully a loved president, hated only by the far far right wing.)

3. G. P. Bush (Presides over a strong economy from 2025-2031. In 2031 a massive recession begins, which leads to the election of Senate Majority Leader Obama over Vice President Staples.)

4. Edwards (Many think of his years as much like the Clinton Years, minus the sex scandals)

5. Nyman (Elected due mainly to a split in the Republican Party between centrists and neo-cons. Finaly creates a fragile peace in the Mideast durring the "Boston Accords" that give the Palestinians some what of a homeland in the Siani Penninsula)

6. Clinton (Despite a great economy, the baffles in Somalia and Bosnia along with the impeachment killed him in the polling)

7. G.W. Bush (Though rated high in the top 20 in a 2040 poll, too many great presidents have passed by this man who had the "privalege" of being the first War on Terror President)

8. Soult (Got caught up in a massive recession (almost Depression) that was not his fault, is still blamed to this day. As his Vice President Paul W. Brunsel put it, "It was the 'Hoover Effect.' "

It's highly unlikely that Bush will even be alive in 2050.

With the number of press conferences he does, it'll take a while to notice.

Although you do beat Harry/myself in 2044. Just like in the FE's. Senator Migrendel got socialism passed in 2043, and you won by bashing it 24/7, after Nym said he was happy with Migrendel as Majority Leader on Nomo and Philip, the most intersting debate show.
