The Democrats' utter inability to field a coherent candidate leads me to say "yes".

The best candidates in terms of rational Americans finding them appealing were Sens Michael Bennett (D--CO) and Amy Klobuchar (D-MN).  Given their being given over to the worst of Identity Politics,  future Democratic tickets are not going to have the best or most electable candidates nominated for decades.
