You guys are so insulated in your liberal bubbles you can't even imagine a good person who happens to support Trump. Get help.

Give me an example of a “good person” supporting Adolf Hitler.

Trump is a wannabe dictator, with dictatorial policies and a dictatorial outlook in the way he conducts himself and his presidency, and no good person can support that.

You need help.

Bad.

I'm serious.  You may have the worst case of Trump Derangement Syndrome on all of Atlas.

I don't support Trump, but I understand why other Republicans do.

So why do they support a bully, tyrant, liar, conman who is about to be impeached?

I mentioned it earlier: Democrats are not any better.

People disagree about when life begins, but at a certain point in the pregnancy the fetus is objectively a person.  Yet many Democrats, including presidential candidates, think it's okay to rip those babies into pieces.  This is evil and needs to be called out.

I know this makes you feel better, but like most things emanating from the contemporary right, it's unmitigated bullsh!+. Democratic-leaning voters couldn't even stomach Hillary Clinton, to say nothing of a racist p***y-grabber who encouraged political violence. Unfortunately, I have to conclude that anyone who would vote for the latter is trash, because I have actually values.

Do you think that ripping apart viable babies is okay?  Because if you do, you have no moral standing to criticize anyone.

Translation, As Long As Trump is Andi abortion and not literally cancelling elections, everything's scummy and dangerous to American democracy he does is fine with me.

And that's why you deserve zero respect

The above is a personal attack on a poster who has the human decency you can only dream of.

That people attack me, I understand.  I'm combative at times, and I'm not beyond deliberately putting in a dig occasionally on someone being obnoxious.  But your personal attack on Cаквояжник is uncalled for.  He's not a Trump apologist (although my comment would apply even if he were), and if he's going to support/vote for Trump in 2020, he hasn't said so yet, but he's got the intellectual honesty to point out why Evangelical Christians would vote for Trump, given the fact that an American election represents a binary choice with policy consequences determined by the winner.  (And our President is just that; our President.  He's not our Savior and he's not our Pastor.)

If you want to go the slimebag route of ad hominem attacks, I'm online right now.  Stick to me, dude.  Because Cаквояжник is out of your league, ethically, morally, and intellectually.

If everybody just put cinyc on ignore or stopped responding to his nonsense, he'd probably go away.

You know, you're right. I just did. I feel better already considering his posts are so asshat. Hopefully other posters will follow suit. #ignorecinyc

As I’ve said before, I view using the ignore button as surrendering. It says more about the person using it than the person ignored. Unless the poster ignored is engaging in harrassing personal attacks - and I am not - it means that person ignoring is incapable of handling dissenting viewpoints. But it’s your right to use it.

You seem to want to live in an echo chamber that believes all Republican voters bad; Trump-supporting Republicans un-American and evil. There shall be no dissent from this view. Most of the real world outside of Atlas and fervent #resisters don’t think that.
You seem to want to live in an echo chamber that believes all Republican / Trump policies are good; constructive FACT and LOGIC based criticism of Trump and Republicans automatically partisan opinion. There shall be no dissent from this view. Most of the real world outside of America and fervent Trumpists don’t think that.

Then why am I posting on U.S. Election Atlas? If I were afraid of dissenting views or wanted an echo chamber for pro-Trump views, this is probably the last place I’d post.

I have no problem with fact and logic based criticism of Trump. That’s fine. What’s not okay is calling me or all Trump-supporting Republicans things like un-American or stupid or evil. And I’m not the one calling Democrats and those who dare disagree with me names and putting them on ignore because I disagree with them. I have nobody on ignore.

Agreed here.

Here's my suggestion:  Go on offense.  Disrupt the echo chamber.  Derail the derangement.  And don't put these people you describe on "ignore"; when they libel you and trash you unfairly, you want to see it, you want to call them on it, and you want the reasonable posters here to benefit from the spotlight you shine on the worst posters here.  Report every single ad hominem attack they throw at you.  Every one.  If they step out of line and get put on mod review, or even receive a ban, consider it a step forward for civilized society.  Point out when they gang up on one or two posters in packs, because very few of the folks you talk about have the guts to stand alone and defend their position.  The people who fit this M.O. are cowards; cut them no slack.  (I'm certainly not saying this of all of those that oppose Trump, but those that I am saying it about know full well who they are, and I think you do to, my friend.)

You're entirely correct in noting what you've noted in those that have attacked you.  Don't back down!

The above post is ridiculous.

Much criticism of Trump's policies goes beyond logic to the most irrational partisanship imaginable.  At least around here.  Trump has certainly provided legitimate fodder for criticism, but the above is hackishness to the umpteenth level.

Now hackishness is OK in a free soceity.  It's OK that the overtly hackish amongst us on Atlas do what they do.  They can have at it.  I'm just pointing out hackishness when I see it.
