It almost seems like Pence is launching his 2020 presidential campaign tonight

Kaine really turned it around in the last 5-10 minutes but is anyone watching?

Kaine thinks allies like SK and Japan shouldn't have nukes? LMAO

They shouldn't. You have no understanding of the deep-seated rivalries in East Asia. Giving Japan and SK nukes with China already nuclear-armed is lighting a match to kerosene

I would grade this debate as Pence for the first 30 minutes, a draw for the next 20, and all Kaine since

Kaine recovering really well in the second half of the debate. I think he was put off at how calm Pence was, but just kept hammering away and forced Pence to decouple himself from Trump too much

That was a great exchange for Kaine on faith. Completely outclassed Pence. Kaine quotes the book of Matthew and Pence says "you're whipping out that Mexican thing"

That "you whipped out that Mexican thing again" might be the soundbite that lost the debate for Pence. He was on his game until that. A crazy line

You whipped out that Mexican thing again?

The f?

That's going to be the first line anyone remembers from this debate, and that's bad for Pence
