Mitch Daniels's Schedule: From December 26 to January 1, 2012:

Before the Iowa Storm:

December 26: (With Rick Perry and John Kasich)
Town Hall in Ankeny, IA.
Town Hall in Urbandale, IA.
Barnstorm in Council Bluffs, IA.

December 27: (With Tim Pawlenty and Steve Forbes)
Bus Tour in Sioux City, IA.
Bus Tour in Iowa City, IA.
Barnstorm in Waterloo, IA.

December 28: (With Brian Sandoval and Rob Portman)
Barnstorm in Ames, IA.
Rally in Ames, IA.
Barnstorm in Davenport, IA.

"In recent years, the total debt level for all other states has increased by 35 percent, and that doesn't count their massive unfunded pensions burden. Here in Indiana, by cutting our debt more than half, we have freed up millions of future revenue for better uses, and told the job creators of the world that here is one place of low taxes and fiscal stability. We have diligently worked over the last eight years helping to spearhead the concept that our state must live within its means. We will continue to lead with fiscal integrity, and I'm quite sure that we will achieve success in reducing debt and making strategic investments in the future."

December 29: (With Condi Rice and Dick Lugar)
Barnstorm Cedar Rapids, IA.
Rally in Cedar Rapids, IA.
Town Hall in Bettendorf, IA.

December 30: (With Scott Walker and Rick Snyder)
Fundraiser in Des Moines, IA
Barnstorm Des Moines, IA.
Rally in Des Moines, IA.

"We can all agree that the president did inherit a mess, but it's not the first time it's ever happened. He's done less with the mess than anyone else ever did. Ronald Reagan inherited a bigger one and had a roaring economy already by this stage. This is the weakest recovery, at least in the post-war period, if not ever, given the depth of the recession that we were in. With regard to how we get out of it, you can start by saying we couldn't do worse than the policy mix of this president -- gigantic new spending, gigantic new taxes, a takeover of 18 percent or 19 percent of the economy in the Obamacare bill. Anything would be better than that. But you know, the president -- apparently, nothing in his life has acquainted him with where jobs and wealth come from. He has no ear at all for the small business of this country. They're the ones on the receiving end of all of his new taxes. And, you know, frankly, I guess he never is going to get it."

December 31:
Rest during the morning.
Spend the afternoon with a final strategy meeting before the Caucus.
New Year's Party in Des Moines, Iowa.

January 1:
Joining with Tim Pawlenty, John Kasich, Rick Perry and Steve Forbes to prepare for the final rallies.
Campaign Stops in Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Sioux City and Iowa City.

Announcements, Messages and Other Things:

1.- The Des Moines Register endorses Daniels!:

American voters are deeply divided about this race. The Register’s editorial board, as it should, had a vigorous debate over this endorsement. Our discussion repeatedly circled back to the nation’s single most important challenge: pulling the economy out of the doldrums, getting more Americans back in the workforce in meaningful jobs with promising futures, and getting the federal government on a track to balance the budget in a bipartisan manner that the country demands.

Which candidate could forge the compromises in Congress to achieve these goals? When the question is framed in those terms, Mitch Daniels emerges the stronger candidate. The Governor, White House Budget Director and business executive has a strong record of achievement in both the private and the public sectors. He was an accomplished governor in the state of Indiana. He ran a successful business, and he presided over successful budgets. Mitch Daniels is the man for the job.

2.- Remarks after New Year's Party:

"I'm confident that we will win Iowa, that people will recognize that we can (and we will) bring what America needs to the table. Going beyond partisan rhetoric, this is an election that involved a real and deep choice. Do we want four more years of economic and fiscal woes, or do we want four new years of successful leadership? I'm counting on you, Iowa!"

3.- Final Iowa Ad: The Choice:

(Images of previous Iowa Caucuses)

Voice Off: In a few more days, Iowa voters will get the chance to start the primary process by voting for the candidate they consider most able to challenge President Obama and retake the White House for the Republican Party. In a field of capable and known candidates, the decision can be really hard. But I know who I will be voting for: Mitch Daniels.

(Several Republican leaders appear on screen)

Herman Cain: I'm for Mitch because he walks the walk of a real conservative.
John Kasich: I'm for Mitch because he will defeat President Obama.
Steve Forbes: I'm for Mitch because he can balance the budget.
Condi Rice: I'm for Mitch because he knows what America needs.
Tim Pawlenty: I'm for Mitch Daniels because he is the right man for the job.

Mitch Daniels: If the goal is results and not just scoring points, and not just the partial victory of winning an election, if we're going to save this country, if we're going to redeem the American dream, then we're going to have to be in this together. The dangers we face are, are of equal threat to every one of us. And I know that we will find the way out of these troubled times. Thus I ask you, Iowa, for your vote in the Caucuses. Thank you very much.

OOC: Well, this is going to be so close that I might as well say goodbye of the nice side of Daniels. Thus, here we go!

Mitch Daniels's Schedule: January 2 and January 3, 2012:

It's Iowa Time! (Or, Springtime for Daniels)Sad

January 2st:

Rally in Ames, IA. (With Tim Pawlenty)
Barnstorm Iowa City, IA. (With Steve Forbes)
Rally in Davenport, IA. (With John Kasich)
Barnstorm Sioux City, IA. (With Steve Forbes)
Bus Tour in Waterloo, IA. (With Rick Perry)
Bus Tour in Cedar Rapids, IA. (With Rick Perry)

"The President really enjoys saying -Four More Years-. But I'm going to ask of you, four more years of what? Do you want four more years of gridlock, of economic woes, of unhappiness, of unemployment? I don't think so, Mr. President!"

January 3st:

Rest during the morning, breakfast with endorsers and supporters in Campaign HQ, Des Moines.
Barnstorm through Des Moines, including visits to several local shops.
Bus Tour through the countryside of Des Moines with Herman Cain.
March through the streets of the city to get to the final rally.
Final Iowa Rally with Steve Forbes, Tim Pawlenty, Rick Perry and John Kasich.
Pre-Results Press Conference in Campaign HQ.
Party in Campaign HQ.
Speech on the results. (To come later)

"I'm starting to get tired of the attacks on this race. And you know it, I have made my best to stay positive, to bring my message. When you face one attack, it might be wise sometimes to turn the other cheek, and you know it. But when those attacks multiply, and you know that they are completely unfair, there's only one thing to do, and that's to defend yourself. I won't attack anyone who doesn't attack me, that's not the point of this race. But I won't allow anyone to lie about my record, or to invent the bizarre notion that I'm the President's favourite. And some people need to be reminded of that fact."

Announcements, Messages and Other Things:

1.- Final Iowa Rally:

"Remember me, Iowa? I was a candidate for the Republican nomination twice, and in those two times you gave great surprises. In 1996 you gave me 10% of the vote, showing that we were viable. In 2000, you have no less than 31%, and that was one of the greatest night I've ever had. Mitch Daniels is a man with the record to win, with the ideas, with the convictions that a real conservative should have. You surprised me once, Iowa, give Mitch a great surprise now and give him the landslide he deserves!"

"I'm sick and tired of hearing over and over again that President Obama favors Gov. Daniels or Sen. Hutchinson. Seriously? Are you going to trust what the President says, after four years of gridlock? Seems a bit unfair to me that someone can call himself a conservative and right after that put the President's comments in his mouth, as if he didn't have a voice. I think you know who am I talking about. (Laughter) Iowa, Mitch is the man! The conservative! The real challenger to Barack Obama! And you know what, Iowa? I'm not going to ask you to vote for this man, because I know that you will vote for him regardless of what I or Gov. Huckabee have to say. You know this man, and you know why he is standing right here!"

"I can't speak up for Iowa, they must speak up for themselves. And right now, you have the chance to do that. If you want to vote for Huckabee to see him saying over and over again that he is the only conservative here, that's okay. If you want to vote for Huntsman so he can pretend he didn't worked for the President, that's okay. But if you really want to end up the gridlock, if you want to bring America back from where it is now, if you want our recovery to start with the President going the same way of Jimmy Carter when Ronald Reagan defeated another four more years of democratic gridlock, then I'm going to ask you to stand with me, Iowa, to stand with me right here, and say in a very loud voice: We don't want four more years of gridlock! Enough is enough! I can't do that alone, and that's why I need your help. Send a message to the President tonight, and tell him that we had enough!"

2.- Final Press Conference:

Reporter N#1: How is the mood in your HQ as of now, Governor?
Daniels: Couldn't be better. We are certainly nervous, but we are confident that we shall win tonight. During the long days and weeks I have spent in Iowa I have learned to know the state better, and I think my campaign represents the choice that Iowa wants to take.
Reporter N#2: What if you lose? Do you think you'll end up like Rudy Giuliani?
Daniels: If (and this is only if) we were to lose tonight, it will be for an incredibly close amount, and my campaign would have proved that it has the strength to go on. I will not withdraw early just because of some setbacks: I'm on this race to become President of the United States, and you can bet that you'll see me along for a while.

Victory Speech

"We did it, Iowa! What a night! What a wonderful night! (Applause) Our message of compromise, of efficiency, of conservative values and fiscal responsibility has won tonight, and despite the fact that it was a close one, it is a true victory for you and for me. We started in October as one of many options, and consistently behind Gov. Romney and Gov. Huckabee in the polls. During these months of campaigning across the country, our campaign has been both the underdog and the frontrunner, and I won't forget the lessons I have learned so far. I feel I must congratulate Sen. Hutchinson, Rep. Paul and Gov. Roemer on their strong showings, since it has been an honor to share the campaign trail with them. Now, speaking about Gov. Huckabee... (Laughs) No, seriously, my most sincere congratulations on his showing tonight. Many people wonder why he, considering the polls favored him, and I take tonight's victory as proof that the voters grew tired of his attacks, and his supposed claims that he was the only one articulating the message that the voters wanted.

But this night is not for speaking about Gov. Huckabee, this night is about the victory of our own message! A message that you, Iowa, have so eloquently sent to President Obama. And this message is quite simple: Yes, we want to end our economic woes, yes, we wish an end to America's current weakness, yes, we want to change the course, yes, we want a better country, and yes, a loud yes, we can do these things! Four years of Obama are more than enough, and the time to recover our nation begins now! For that same reason, I really don't know how to express how grateful I am to all of you. (Applause) To my dear wife and family: for their support. To the many members of my campaign: for their continued and hard work. To my endorsers: For campaigning with me without a second thought. And specially, to the voters: For receiving, accepting and sending our message to this country!

And here we go! Here we go, to strong showings in New Hampshire and South Carolina, to victories in several of the early states, to a grand triumph in Super Tuesday, to the convention, the nomination, and finally, to the White House! This is not the time to stay silent, this is the time to speak, to discuss, to debate, to get out and vote, so we can achieve the things we want for this country! I will not forget what you have done for me Iowa, nobody will! And now it's time to go back to the campaign trail! (Applause, Daniels hugs his family and his endorsers and staffers begin the real victory party)

OOC: Great news for Ventura, seems like he is going to make Nader in 2000 look like a major failure. Still, I have the feeling that we are going to need another third party challenger to even things out.

Mitch Daniels's Schedule: January 4 to January 8, 2012:

Giuliani No More: (Or: Damn, that was close!)

January 4st:

Bus Tour in Concord, NH, with Condi Rice.
Bus Tour in Derry, NH, with Condi Rice.
Bus Tour in Nashua, NH, with Condi Rice.
Rally in Concord, NH, with Condi Rice.

January 5st:

Town Hall in Exeter, NH, with Rob Portman.
Rally in Durham, NH, with Rob Portman.
Town Hall in Windham, NH, with Rob Portman.
Rally in Hampton, NH, with Rob Portman.

January 6st:

Barnstorm in Nashua, NH, with Dick Lugar.
Barnstorm in Rochester, NH, with Dick Lugar.
Barnstorm in Salem, NH, with Dick Lugar.
Rally in Nashua, NH, with Dick Lugar.

"I have the feeling that many of you here have a certain idea of myself. Perhaps you might have heard my comments about the "truce", perhaps you might have seen me answering to the attacks, and perhaps you might even have seen me in a debate or two. (Laughter) I know many people call me weak, or "moderate", or sometimes a wimp. But the reason behind all of that is that I am not a divisive as most of them. Let's face it, I'm not angry about everything everyday. Can you imagine how dangerous would that be?"

January 7st:

Rally in Manchester, NH, with John Sununu (both of them).
Barnstorm in Manchester, NH, with John Sununu (both of them).
Fundraiser in Manchester, NH, with John Sununu (both of them).

January 8st:

Rest during the morning.
Barnstorm Manchester, including visits to stores, streets and holding small conversations with groups of voters when possible.
Final NH Rally with Rob Portman, Condi Rice and the Sununu Family.
Party in NH Campaign HQ.
Speech on the NH results. (To come later)

Announcements, Messages and Other Things: (OOC: I must admit, having a schedule for surrogates is a wonderful idea. My apologies, but I'll be making my own version of it.)

1.- Final New Hampshire Rally:

"New Hampshire! We are coming from a great night in Iowa, and I really expect that you will give another good night! Perhaps we might not beat Senator Ayotte and Gov. Huntsman for the first place, but I want you to show that our campaign is strong and competitive. Sadly, I couldn't spend as much time in this wonderful state as I would have liked, but I'm confident that you will prove the idea that the man who goes to a state the biggest amount of times is the man who wins. The ideas are what counts! And I think our ideas are exactly what America needs! Get out and vote, New Hampshire, get out and give this campaign a great night!"

2.- Press Conference in January 4th:

Reporter N°1: Any words on the current state of the race, Governor?
Daniels: To be honest, I couldn't be more satisfied. The Iowa victory gave our campaign a great boost, and while the polls don't show us winning NH or SC, neither did the Iowa polls. Thus, I want to have a very strong showing in New Hampshire, so I can achieve victory in South Carolina and put some of this campaign's myths to rest.
Reporter N°2: And what about Congressman Paul?
Daniels: It's quite sad to see him leave the race and endorse a candidate outside the party, but that's his choice and it okay.
Reporter N°3: Don't you think this will hurt the GOP in November?
Daniels: Perhaps. But I like to think that Governor Ventura is not a vehicle for disaffected GOP voters. I'd say he's trying to reach out to voters that both parties could have neglected, and there's just no way of knowing what will happen from now on to November.

3.- Surrogates:

-Herman Cain: (Schedule released)

-Condi Rice, the Sununu Family, Dick Lugar and Rob Portman: (Campaining with me in NH)

-Rick Perry and John Kasich:
Holding rallies in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville and Summerville from January 5 to 8.

4.- New Ad: "Values"Sad (To be played in South Carolina)

Voice Over: With the approaching South Carolina Primary, voters will want a choice that holds the social views of our party. While Mitch Daniels has been very concerned about the state of our damaged economy during his work in Indiana and the campaign, he has never neglected social issues. His record is pro-life and his views are pro-family. Mitch is the kind of person who will identify the problems, prioritize them, and address them.

Mitch Daniels: While Iowa has given me a major boost, I will need your vote in South Carolina to help us win the nomination and defeat President Obama. I need your choice, South Carolina, and that's why I approved this ad.

"I would like to talk about this issue in a more personal sense: Forty years ago, when I was in college, marijuana was incredibly easy to get. As a result, and after one party too many, I ended up arrested and fined because of it. I thought my future political career was over, and I was lucky, since other college students have suffered far worse in the same situation. You know, I used to be pretty harsh about the use of marijuana (and I still have a negative view on it), but I think my view has evolved from 10 years ago.

Well, I don't think my personal views matters too much, after all, I agree with my fellow republicans: This should better be left to the states. However, I personally think that sometimes we are too harsh with the youth. Sure, this whole experience taught me a great deal about responsibility and I have never attempted to repeat it, but then again, I was lucky. If we were more assertive with punishments when it comes to the people that do not, and I repeat, do not traffic and only use it in cases like Gov. Roemer said, we could be really helping a lot of young people across America. Whether we talk about the economy, foreign policy or education, that is the point of the GOP campaign: Helping America and all of its sides."

Iowa delivered a loud voice against the President a few days ago, and I'm sure that you will deliver an equally strong message. Be either Huntsman, Ayotte, Hutchinson, Roemer or me, you will vote for someone that you believe capable of change. Of course, I'd like to believe that you will vote for me. (Laughter) I'm ready for this night, New Hampshire! Get out and give everybody a big surprise!

-Tim Pawlenty:

3.- New Ad: "A new way for America"Sad (To be played in SC, FL and NV)

Voice Over: This country is tired after four years of President Obama. Americans want a real leader, with a vision for America. And Mitch Daniels provides us with that vision, that new way for America. A vision of balanced budgets, a strong military, one that ends the current partisan bickering, and one that creates the jobs that our society needs. A vote for Mitch Daniels is a vote for that new America.

Mitch Daniels: Hi, I'm Mitch Daniels. I'm convinced that I can deliver the vision that America needs right now, and that's why I approved this ad.

Daniels concession speech:

"I want to give my most sincere congratulations to Senator Ayotte on her victory in New Hampshire, it was well fought for all of us and the results were close enough.

Well, perhaps some of you might feel a little disappointed. I was personally hoping for a strong third place, but sharing that position with Sen. Hutchinson and Gov. Roemer is not a bad thing, don't you think so? After all, we weren't able to compete with a really strong ground game. But we are still leading at the polls!

In a couple of weeks we will have to fight in South Carolina, and that showdown will be decisive. So I say to all of you, we shall triumph there! We will repeat what happened in Iowa! We will win a decisive victory with the help of all of you! And there's also a major debate coming, in which I hope we will come out strong, sending the message we want to send.

That said, I give my most sincere thanks to the voters, the endorsers, the volunteers and my family for all of their support during this campaign. It hasn't been easy for any of them, so I'm thankful for every moment, for every effort, and for all the wonderful things they have given me.

On to South Carolina, and then to the nomination! Let us go forward to a new America!"

Mitch Daniels Debate Answers:

Quote

"Of course! Those soldiers risk their lives so we can be safe here in America, and the only thing they ask for their service is the opportunity to live a good life. They don't want medals, they don't want to be in movies, they want to be recognized. The President is the commander in chief, and every commander in chief has the duty of taking care of the soldiers. The President liked to speak about sending the troops home, about helping them improve their lives, only for those soldiers to return from Iraq to be disregarded. We should know better."

Quote

"It can be done, but it remains to be seen how long will it take. We could work faster with a Republican Senate, as Senator Ayotte said, but even in adverse conditions a President should know how to compromise and how to get things done. If I'm elected, I will give my best effort to introduce a plan similar to the one we have in Indiana, which I explained in a previous debate and that even Gov. Huckabee praised. Good, solid solutions based on our free market."

"I am very satisfied why the results of the race so far. Yes, I lost New Hampshire, but I have had the opportunity to share with many Americans, learn about their concerns, and give a renewed strength to my faith in democracy. Life does not give you do-overs, and a Presidential candidate must always look ahead, never back. Still, I would have liked to answer in a stronger way to the attacks. It's too late already to stop the attacks, and the bridges are burned, but a stronger signal would have perhaps stopped Gov. Huckabee on his bad taste about attacks."

"It is a simple answer: Prioritizing. America is a land that welcomes all kinds of people, but some of those peope have exaggerated on their desire to come here. Anyone who argues that immigrants are unwanted is wrong, since they can provide vital working and job creator skills. If we were to prioritize those workers over the ones who come here instead of those who merely happen to live next door or who are related to someone who is already here, we could have a great tool to help our economy without keeping jobs away from the American people. We are supposed to create jobs, not take them away, and that's why we must focus on the growth of our economy while keeping a tight and secure border."

Quote

"I'm pro-life and I have always been like that. Still, we have to be realistic. If someone gets a pregnancy by a simple mistake: it would be a crime to perform an abortion, since that is merely irresponsibility. But what happens when a mother's life is at danger? What happens when that woman was raped, or forced to commit incest? Are we really going to force her to have that baby, knowing we could kill her or force her to a greater suffering. I'm a religious man, and I believe in compassion, so I would never do things like supporting funding of embryonic stem cell research, but we have to look at the greater picture and put ourselves in the place of that woman."

"I think that combining the notions of my work as budget director and the increase on the deficit is a mistake. We must not forget that during that period of time, a big part of it was in the middle of a Democratic congress, which kept on pushing forward greater and greater spending, causing a lot of trouble to our office. Look, I was proud to be part of that administration. Yes, I think the Bush tax cuts were good and timely and helped the economy to recover very very quickly from that recession. But if you want to know what I think about fiscal issues, don't look at 2 1/2 years when I was in the supporting cast with no vote. Look at six years where I was in a responsible position, submitting budgets and fighting for them. There's the record that I think is most accurate, and that's why I would provide a new way for America."

I am 100% sure that we will win the nomination and that we will defeat President Obama, and your voice is needed for that. Get out and vote South Carolina, and give us the surprise we want and need!"

Daniels Concession Speech:

I'll be honest with you, since you deserve the truth: We may have been defeated tonight, but our campaign remains solid and strong, and the following primaries will be the place were we mount the comeback for our ideas and our message.

I'd like to personally congratulate Senator Hutchinson on her victory, since she successfully resisted the calls for negative campaign and she has been very effective on the campaign trail. My congratulations to Gov. Huckabee as well, it was well fought, and I think he may have also won this round by giving a close run to tonight's winner.

What else can I say? My most sincere thanks to the voters and our supporters, and from here we go back to the campaign trail! Thank you very much!

"We're going to keep making our case. This is the campaign to be apart of if you want a real reformer in the White House! I'm running on big ideas, to shrink the size of government, to cut your taxes, to balance the budget, to return to constitutional based principles and keep America the hope of the earth!"

OOC: I don't mean to kick a man while he's down, but Huckabee endorsing Constitutional Based Principles? Anyone remember this little puppy?

OOC: If the ad war had not ended a few days ago I would be really tempted to start attacking and begin a new war right now...

Mitch Daniels's Schedule: January 22 to January 28, 2012:

A door closes, a window opens:

January 22th:

Fly to Florida, barnstorm Miami, Jacksonville and Orlando.
Hold a rally with Sen. Rob Portman and former Sec. Condi Rice, where the following speech is made:

"We may have lost South Carolina, but we are on this race to win it! I know will face victory, which is why we will break the rules and we will attempt a major effort in the state of Nevada! I still have the hope that we will have a strong showing in Florida, and I thank Sec. Rice and Sen. Portman for their hard work, but it is time to stage a real comeback for our campaign, and Nevada is the best place to raise the stakes! Let the dice fly high!"

January 23th:

Arrival to Las Vegas, Nevada, opening speech of the statewide tour with Gov. Brian Sandoval.
Tour of some Casinos, speeches on gambling, the economy and jobs.
Barnstorming Las Vegas with Brian Sandoval.
Massive campaign party and fundraiser on the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Las Vegas, NV.

"Las Vegas is truly a magnificent place. The Republican Party has always been very strong here, and I personally admire how this city manages to recover from each hit it takes, growing stronger and healthier every day. But one of the best ways to help this city to grow stronger is to have a President truly concerned about economic growth, and that's why I would like to ask for your vote on the caucus."

January 24th:

Rallies across Las Vegas, NV.
Fundraisers in Las Vegas, NV.
Holding two campaign events to greet supporters and take questions, Las Vegas, NV.

"I like to think that I'm a great gambler. I choose the best moments to attack and defend and I am always fully aware of the consequences of my acts, but I am willing to take risks to help all of you, and a President, a Commander in Chief must always be ready to be resourcefull and clever enough. Ideas are always very important to a campaign, but we must remember that the personal qualities of the candidate are vital. Would you trust that man or that woman to be on the White House and do whatever has to be done?"

January 25th:

Town Hall and Barnstorm in Enterprise, NV.
Bus Tour in Carson City and Sparks, NV.
Rally in Sunrise Manor, NV.

"Have I ever told you the story about Donald Trump and his Indiana Casino? The man wanted to build a casino in my state, in Indiana, but (and I don't blame him for this), some of the papers weren't in order. I hope he didn't took it personal, but it seems like I'm only guy that has ever fired Donald Trump. I know it doesn't sound serious for you, but I insist: A president must know when to say no, when to say yes, and to respect our institutions. Which brings we into this talk of constitutional amendments..."

January 26th:

Barnstorming and holding rallies in Reno, NV.
Town Hall in Sunrise Manor, NV.
Town Hall in Paradise, NV.

"Let's face it, this campaign has been hard. Lots of attacks, name calling and questioning, and it has not been a pretty sight for all of you. But I have come here to tell you how it is, how things appear to me. No attacks, no name calling, and no nonsense. Unless we are talking about the President... (Laughs) That's a joke, of course, but I hope you get my point."

January 27th:

Barnstorming and holding rallies in Henderson, NV.
Bus Tour in North Las Vegas, NV.
Bus Tour in Spring Valley, NV.

"The polls don't lie: America believes that we must change the course. The Republican Party offers you a chance to change the course and give this country the chance it deserves. I, as a candidate, want to ask you to vote for us, for Sen. Hutchinson, for Sen. Ayotte, for Gov. Huckabee, for Gov. Huntsman, or for me... Specially for me. (Laughs) Being serious, we are all tired after four years of President Obama, and the real change begins now, by your vote."

January 28th:

Barnstorming Las Vegas, NV.
Rallies and speeches about foreign policy, health care and education on Las Vegas, NV.
Second campaign party in the Palazzo Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV.

Reporter: Governor, how do you feel about your chances on Nevada?
Daniels: Confident, I think we will receive a great victory here.
Reporter: But Governor, the polls have you behind by a great margin.
Daniels: I'd say that's because I had not campaigned a lot on this state, despite having the help of Governor Sandoval. With this week of campaining, I would expect a significant bump on the polls.

Daniels Ads:

Ad #1: Mitch, the man I trustSad (To be played on Nevada)Sad

(Pictures of the state of Nevada appear)

Sandoval: Hi, I'm Brian Sandoval, your governor. During these years, Nevada has fought hard to overcome troubles, and so far we have succeded on that because of our own efforts in the state. But we need a man who can help us bring real prosperity to America and our state. That man is Mitch Daniels. His record, experience and personal qualities make him the best choice we have, and I want to invite you to vote for him.

(Daniels appears on-screen with Sandoval)

Daniels: More and more people are joining our campaign, and I trust that we will continue to grow strong.
Sandoval: So you approve this ad?
Daniels: You can bet on it.

Ad #2: The right way to goSad (To be played on Colorado, Minnesota, Florida, Maine and Nevada)Sad

(
Pictures of the economic crisis)

Narrator: Four years ago, America lost its way to go, and Americans grow dissapointed every day, thanks to the economic woes that our government can't solve. But one man is willing to take on the job, and he has the qualities to achieve that.

(Pictures of the Daniels campaign and the Iowa victory speech)

Narrator: Mitch Daniels knows the right way to go. Fiscal responsibility, a respected America throught the world, a clear vision on social issues, and the jobs we need. A vote for him, is a vote for the right way to go.

Mitch Daniels: I'm Mitch Daniels, and I approve this ad.

Mitch Daniels's Schedule: January 29 to January 31, 2012:

Fear and loathing in Las Vegas:

January 29th:

Holding fundraisers in Reno, NV.
Barnstorm and Rally in Reno, NV, speech about the debt crisis.
Town Hall in Elko, NV.
Town Hall in Enterprise, NV.

"I have already said this on a debate: the ink of the debt crisis is the new red menace. We may not notice how it increases, but we have to face that our deficits will run this country to a fiscal disaster on the future. You may choose to blame President Bush or me for said crisis, like President Obama implies. But hear this: the deficit has increased under Obama to a whole new level, and he managed to do that with a democratic congress backing him all the way. Is that what we want for our country?"

January 30th:

Bus Tour in Fallon, NV.
Bus Tour in Fernley, NV.
Bus Tour in Mesquite, NV.
Rally in Henderson, NV, speech about health care.

"As Governor of Indiana, I pursued a health care reform that involved a mix of the public services with an approach to the free market. Some folks said that it was going to fail, but more and more hoosiers have improved their life standards because of it, and more and more people join every day. We don't need the so called solution that Obamacare claims to be, we can do it in a more efficient and less intrusive way!

January 31th:

Barnstorming Las Vegas, NV.
Tour of some Casinos, trying to encourage gamblers to put their luck behind Daniels.
Rallies in Las Vegas, NV, then holding a press conference about the Florida Results.

"I have discovered the wonders of Nevada on this tour, and it is not only gambling. (Laughter) Seriously, this state has always put a lot of effort in what believes and wants, and I want to invoke that same spirit by the time we arrive to the results. I need your luck, Nevada, and you are the one state that can help me to recover the lead on this race! Some may say that is it foolish to focus on Nevada when the rest of the field is on Florida, but I can feel that a stroke of luck is coming for us! Let us go forward!"

Daniels Ads:

Ad #1: Balancing the budgetSad (To be played on Nevada, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota and Michigan)Sad

(Pictures of the debt crisis, budget fights on congress and graphics that show the rise of the national debt)

Daniels: For the last four years we have seen a massive increase on the debt and the deficit, and more and more wasteful spending is added in Washington, and that's a price that you have to pay. As Governor and Budget Director, I have always fought for balanced budgets and for having a prudent and efficient handling of the economy. If you agree with me about the need to do something about your budget, please get out and vote, so we can send a clear message. I'm Mitch Daniels, and I approve this ad.

OOC: Can't wait for the Florida results, since they will prove quite decisive for Huntsman, Ayotte and Hutchinson (and it will be a bloodbath). Depending on a Hutchinson or Ayotte win, I'd say that those two have the ability to last longer on a prolonged primary. On the other hand, Huckabee, Huntsman and myself are going to need at least one victory in Nevada, Colorado, Missouri and Maine if we want to stay viable.

"Well, this certainly wasn't what we expected. I would like to congratulate Sen. Hutchinson on her victory, and Gov. Huntsman and Sen. Ayotte on their performances tonight. While I would have expected a stronger showing in Florida, I'm confident that we will manage to triumph in Nevada."

Mitch Daniels's Schedule: February 1 to February 7, 2012:

The New Campaign Theme:

"Change. We heard a lot about change in 2008, and now we see the kind of change we have. We need a different kind of talk about change, because we need a different change, and I will be using that as the new theme to define my campaign. To all the voters in the great state of Nevada, our journey goes on! With another kind of change, a change that believes in you!"

February 1st:

Town Hall in Winnemucca, NV.
Town Hall in Zephyr Cove, NV.
Barnstorming Reno, NV.
Holding rallies Reno, NV, about the state of the race.

"Sure, the Florida results were not what we expected, but our campaign goes on. Quitting after the first setbacks is not something a President should do, and a prolonged primary, more than hurting the candidate, proves his credentials. That the reason why I hope you, Nevada, will give me a victory. And I'll tell you more: Even if defeated, I will not drop out. I give you my word, I won't quit."

February 2nd:

Barnstorm Winchester, NV.
Barnstorm Whitney, NV.
Barnstorm and hold rallies in Sunrise Manor, NV.

"One of the goals of this campaign is to create a clear contrast to the Democrats, and show why we are ready and prepared to save this country. Nevada is a state that voted for President Obama in the past election, but I'm confident that they will vote for the Republican nominee this year... Which I hope is standing right here (Laughs)."

February 3rd:

Barnstorm and hold rallies in Paradise, NV.
Town Hall in Carson City, NV.
Town Hall in Clark, NV.
Barnstorm and hold rallies in Henderson, NV.

"Making decisions in foregin policy is never an easy task. But when you have a clear vision, when you know what you want for the world, you can achieve things. Do you know what I believe? I believe that we must use our influence in a positive way, we have to stand up for our allies, fight for democracy, stand up to countries like North Korea, Iran or Syria, and prove that the United States can have a positive and strong influence. President Bush wanted strong, President Obama wanted positive. But I ask to you, why not both?"

February 4th:

Breakfast with supporters in Campaign Office in Reno, NV.
Take a tour in Las Vegas, greeting supporters on the way.
Holding rallies in some of the Casinos.
Final Pre-Primary Press Conference.
Final Nevada Party in the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, Las Vegas, NV.

"Get out and vote, Nevada! I have said this in every state I have been to, because I believe it is right: You have to send the message. Things won't change if you don't make the effort, and that's why I need your support. Only with your help we will go to Super Tuesday, to Tampa, and to Washington! Give me your help so I can help you then, Nevada!"

February 5th:

Fly to Minnesota, rest during the morning.
Barnstorm Minneapolis, MN.
Rallies in Minneapolis, MN, stressing the need for leadership.

"A President and a Commander in Chief has to know how to lead. The ability to lead enables you to compromise and push your ideas forward, to help the people you want to help, to change the things that are wrong. I like to think that I have that ability, and that I applied it to the state of Indiana with success. Bold leadership, bold republican leadership, is what we need."

February 6th:

Bus Tour in Virginia, MN.
Bus Tour in Vaconia, MN.
Bus Tour in St. Louis Park, MN.
Barnstorm and Rally in St. Paul, MN.

"This country requires a more efficient economic management. We have to erase the deficit, we have to balance the budget, and we have to spend less. And not only we have do to it, we can do it! I did it in Indiana, and I think I can do it in America!"

February 7st:

Barnstorm and Rally in Rochester, MN.
Barnstorm and Rally in Lakeville, MN.
Small tour in St. Paul, MM.
Party at local Campaign Headquarters in St. Paul, MN.

"Today our campaign gains new strength, new life, and it will be thanks to you, Minnesota! We will go to Michigan, to Washington, to Virginia, to Super Tuesday! I am confident that you will give us a wonderful surprise, especially when we all know that, on this race, all victories are hard fought."
