Democrats really over-shot their coverage in a lot of these competitive districts - with the exception of the seats that California Dems have been typically targeting recently (CA-10, CA-25, and dear god CA-21 where Valadao crossed 60%).

CA-10 and CA-25 look much better in the context of Dems over-performed substantially over their primary results in 2016.

After tonight I'm gonna just say CA-21 is Safe R for Valadao and CA-49 is looking more and more like Lean D (Dems are AHEAD of the GOP in a district that was basically made to be Safe Issa and a district with an R registration advantage).

Comstock is doing really really bad in a primary against the weird jorts guy while the Democrats dream candidate is winning by a wide margin. This might be the first GOP incumbent that the RNC has to triage.

it's a wash. Arrington is more polarizing politically but Sanford is still... Sanford. He's made a lot of people angry over the years for a bunch of very legitimate reasons (scandals, running the government poorly, anti-Trump in a Trumpish district, and generally being kind of a jerk).

Turnout in Oklahoma is very high - at my polling place, the line was as long as it was DURING THE 2016 GENERAL ELECTION. Partially this is because of people voting on 788, the medical marjiuana question, and partially people angry at anti-Education GOPers.

Cornett seems to be doing better than I expected - it's a good sign for him if he's doing well in counties outside of Oklahoma City, where I assume he'll be decimating the field.

On other related news, turnout in Oklahoma was insane for Democrats.

Tbf Oklahoma has plenty of zombie registered Democrats who are too lazy to switch their registration.

While true, turnout as a whole was bonkers in Oklahoma and the ground is finally starting to shift to where the numbers should be.
