Senator Cathcon (R-MI)/Senator Supersonic (R-TN) - 357 EVs, 54.5%
Congressman Must Crush Capitalism (S-CA)/Governor Maxwell (L-OK) - 181 EVs, 43.2%
Others - 0 EVs, 2.3%

The original Democratic nominees, President Mung Beans and Vice President Clinton1996, were unpopular and barely won the Democratic nomination. They were trailing heavily against the powerhouse ticket of Moderate Conservative Senators Cathcon and Supersonic. As a result, strongly spoken Congressman of California Must Crush Capitalism, a four term Socialist Party member, became the main competition of Cathcon. In the strangest turn of all in this election cycle, he was joined on his ticket by outraged Republican Governor Maxwell, who switched to the libertarian party in joining MCC's ticket. Their numbers were weak the whole season, trailing Cathcon by over 30 until the debates, but after that they started to surge but they didn't have enough time, losing by a fairly large 12 points and Over 170 EVs.

Closest states were New Hampshire (50.1-49.9 Cathcon) and Minnesota (50.5-49.5 MCC). Surprisingly close states are Oklahoma (55-45 Cathcon - home state effect Maxwell).
