Opinion of the 1994 Haiti invasion

To be honest, we should've intervened in 1991 to keep Astride around. No strings attached, just supporting him to end the endless series of coups. Coups are bad for business, plus Haiti should've been able to keep an honest democracy after all their horrifying history. They don't deserve coups or Dulivars.

Frankly, even a relatively rich, powerful, and democratic Haiti would be no threat to any US interests, and if they were strong, stable, and democratic, they'd be a great trading partner.
