All sillyness a side, I feel this is a good opportunity for me to speak up.

Firstly, I wish to talk about the constitutional amendment. I ran my campaign with this promise, and I will be damned if I break it. The Northeast has the highest defecit in Atlasia, and I want to put an end to it. MAS complains about increasing the size of government. So what? If it gets the job done, what's the problem?

Secondly, the capital punishment act. I view this as a referendum on the issue. Whether you like the bill or not, if you are against it, you are in favour of capital punishment. We can always amend the bill later. If it fails, I will not bring up the issue ever again. I will once again allow the states to have capital punishment, and that's the way it's going to be. I can't sway the opinions of the voters on this decisive issue.

I thought Earl's ad was funny.  Try laughing from time to time.  It helps.

As a former Governor yourself, I'm surprised you support irrelevant taunts and personal attacks about peoples' former political status.  What did Earl's ad have to do with the issues at hand?  It seems to me like it was a clear dodge of what the issues are really about.

Lighten up Ebowed, the ad was a joke

if you are against [the capital punishment act], you are in favour of capital punishment.

You'd have to be smoking some pretty nasty stuff to sincerely believe that.  I don't oppose your act because I favor the death penalty.

You care more about euthanasia than capital punishment though, obviously.  You know something though, I really have no time or patience any more for you guys from outside the region. I care about my region, not what a bunch of southerners think. I applaud MAS at least for voicing his opinions, but you guys are just not worth it anymore. I apologize to MAS if he took anything personal from this, I meant nothing of the sort. I'm just trying to stand up for what I believe in.

Perhaps you are a regional bigot; I have no way of knowing.
Hahaha!!! Cheesy Regional bigot? Surely you must be joking.

Actually, no.  Take a look at the statements of your Governor:

You know something though, I really have no time or patience any more for you guys from outside the region. I care about my region, not what a bunch of southerners think. I applaud MAS at least for voicing his opinions, but you guys are just not worth it anymore.

This comment would not be nearly so outrageous if he had not taken the time to mention Southerners specifically.  My question to Earl is, if I were residing in the Pacific, would you take my criticism more seriously?  I think we all know what the answer is.

I said that because  both you and Spade are from the south. No one else form any other region has said anything yet. If anyone else comes along to support you, it will be Jake, and surprise surprise, he's also from the south! I have nothing against the south, just the one's who are sticking their noses in my region.

The answer is yes.

In that case, my "regional bigot" comment is obviously fully justified.  Thanks for your honesty.

For the record, I like the south more than the Pacific (well California, anyways). However, it is the southerners, not the pacificans who have been buzzing around here.

I'll "dodge" any arguments presented by a citizen outside the Northeast, especially if I feel they are incorrect. I will however, allow you and your band of merry men to post, as I do favour freedom of speech. There will be no separate boards. I have nothing to hide.

Are you sure about that?  What if a citizen outside the Northeast, say, wrote a bill for you?

Either way, I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate refusal to hear arguments presented by anyone outside your region.  That is a stain on your administration, by any standard, and it is sad that the potential for a great administration for your region has been ruined by closed-mindedness.

Dont take my quotes out of context again, or I shall sue for libel.

Thankfully, Atlasia doesn't have libel laws.

Sorry, what was taken out of context?  That post can be summed up by the first thing you said:  that you'd dodge anything argued from outside the region.

I meant to say that if I feel you are not contributing to the scope of what I have planned, I need not take it into consideration. I don't feel it is in anyone's best interest for me to hijack southeastern legislation, why do you feel the need to always hijack Northeast discussions? I don't feel as though I have to appease people from outside the region. It's unfortunate that you have any sway in our region. The region should be governed by Northeasterners, not Ebowed.

I said my comments were to be ignored and not taken seriously because I am not from the Northeast, except in case of the Marriage Act, which is blatantly unconstitutional and I felt it might be of note for the people of the Northeast to realize that.

No, because the act deals with civil unions Smiley

I am very disappointed at all the anger towards my plans. I am trying hard to be an effective Governor, but am receiving a lot of criticism. Criticism is ok, but unfortunately, I have received little constructive criticism. I cannot possible reply to all the comments in this thread because of all the posts, but I would like concerned citizens to PM me and IM me so we can discuss how they would like me to do things better. I must say a lot of people have said things that have hurt me.

I am aware, but this seems to be over the top, in my opinion.
