I'm happy here in Ottawa. (affordable, not too congested, weather's not too terrible, can just get by [in terms of employment] as a unilingual anglophone, not too conservative, and the economy is pretty good)
Here are some cons with other cities:
Calgary, Alberta - too much congestion, a bit too conservative (though not as bad as its reputation) Edmonton, Alberta (a bit too cold for even me! ... as a cyclist I would prefer to get a break from Winter biking for a few months!) Halifax, Nova Scotia (poor economy) Montreal, Quebec (poor economy, and I don't speak French) Quebec City, Quebec (language barrier even worse than Montreal) Toronto, Ontario (way too congested, way too expensive) Vancouver, British Columbia (way, way, way too expensive, and too rainy!) Winnipeg, Manitoba (see Edmonton)
Having said that, I wouldn't mind moving to any of those cities if I could afford it.
