I just don't get my province. We elected Ralph Klein for pities sake!
And Alison Redford, who's sort of the Barack Obama of the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta.

Funny how older people prefer Obama more than younger people.


I dunno how that happened. It's the opposite in the US.

My guess is that Canadians tend to be better informed about US politics than Americans, but it's less true for young people.

The poll has Obama over Romney 67-9 with those under 35, and 71-12 with those over 50, so Obama leads by 59 points with older voters... and by 58 points with younger voters. Not statistically significant. What might be more meaningful are the higher numbers of undecided among those under 35, which may reflect less engagement with US politics on the part of younger voters, as others have suggested.
