If Ron Paul and his supporters are smart, they won't build expectations of a win in Washington. A strong second would be a very credible finish for him, and plenty of reason to keep campaigning; building up expectations of victory, and then not actually winning, never looks good. See Maine, where even if the state Republican party ever counts the votes properly, and even if Paul ended up winning as a result, he'd have looked a hell of a lot stronger if his supporters hadn't built up his chances so heavily over the previous day or so.
