Biden dies. Separately, there’s a January 6-level attack on democracy by radical leftists during the Biden-Harris term, with the tacit support of AOC. Crowley runs for his old seat back and becomes Speaker, and then ascends to the presidency when Harris (who never got a VP confirmed) somehow dies or resigns.

Easy. Terror attack at the State of the Union, he’s the designated survivor. Even if he’s not elected to a full term, he’ll still be president on January 20.
