I've been offered a job in Madison. This would allow me to simultaneously check two boxes off my bucket list: get a new job, and leave Houston.

Job details? Both old and new.

I'm not one to engage in BushOklahoma-style oversharing regarding jobs. All I will say is that the prospective job pays double what I make now and has considerably more room for growth and advancement.

Oh, make sure you are prepared to deal with cold weather living. Immigrants where I live often have a hard time picking up stuff like salting your driveway, snow driving etc.

This probably sounds like a very stupid question but keep in mind I grew up on the Gulf Coast and have spent more than one Christmas in shorts and flip flops: do you have to have an AWD car to drive in snow? My current car is a rear-wheel drive convertible that I love to baby and dote on and don't want succumbing to rust.
