Yeah, you deleted all the posts yesterday about it.  One doesn't forgive the other, but the 100 days of the Siege of Portland, the CHAZ, etc were all more violent than this event.  It just hit "closer to home" for some.  I moved here from the Twin Cities due to people burning down many city blocks of businesses and homes.

I guess I'm just dense, I don't see the equivalency in people rioting when unarmed minorities are murdered by the police and a bunch of entitled white right wing terrorists try to overthrow the will of the people.

I equivocate death with death, destruction with destruction.  No matter the purported cause of these events, the individual actors of these crimes are not necessarily part of the movements they co-opt.

And I feel for people that lost their businesses and don't have a massive federal infrastructure to protect or recompense our affected elected officials.

So still not as bad as yesterday, even if you ignore the trying to overturn a presidential election and install a dictatorship aspect of it. To say nothing of their motivation of lynching Mike Pence.

If Antifa or BLM actually stormed the Capitol like some Black Panthers instead of just burning down random businesses, smashing windows, looting, and having a "block party" and demanded change; I'd probably have more respect for them.

Worth noting that despite the name "Capitol Hill"; the Washington state legislature and governor mansion are nowhere near CHAZ.

If the MAGA people had instead say, taken over some park or square in DC and started camping there, it would definitely be acceptable, at least for a week or 2.

I refuse to watch his video.  What does he say, in the way of concession?

No claims he still won, just that he was "protecting democracy" with his legal challenges and then says, "a new administration will be inaugurated January 20th.  My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power."

The video is actually very good. He should have recorded this video on November 6 or 7 when it became clear that he had lost the election.

He should resign now to avoid being impeached and Pence should pardon him.

We had people with Nazi and Confederate symbols storm the Capitol, something the actual Nazis and Confederates were never able to do. It’s just crazy.

There was a disturbing green (lime-green) flag these Fascists had that I saw on TV, that very similarly resembled Nazi Germany's naval battle flag (Kriegsmarine).

Michael Moore did an excellent livestream yesterday warning about further events with armed Trump supporters on inauguration week in DC and all 50 state capitals.

This, anyone with half a brain has changed their perspective from this week's events. Look at that Jeanine Pirro vid, even she's flipping on him.  Only the diehards are left.

At best if he can even run (i.e. no impeachment conviction/ban) in 2024, he'll be a fringe candidate that only wins a few states on a independent ticket.  That's if the states even allow him on the ticket.
