Not a single proposition in any state passed on the freedom side.

Marijuana was NOT legalized in Alaska.
Gay marriage bans passed everywhere, interfering with the lives of many gay Americans and their friends.
California passed the huge 3 billion dollar stem cell boondoggle, another hit to the free market.

etc....

Good job Amerikans!

It's Christians imposing their morals on others.  Like if Islamists took over your state and forced the women to wear veils.  I don't see a difference.

Amerikans are the new fascists of this country, and I've seen it slept with a 't' and a 'd'.

It's hard not to overreact at the prospect of 4 more years of government intrusion and imposed morals.

It hasn't yet, I'm not a threat.  What about people like Micheal Moore?  They're watching him all the time, even though he's just practicing Free Speech.  And how about those "Free Speech Zones"? And Bush's forms you had to sign to attend his speeches?

I'm not gay, but they have to feel that they are oppressed by a Christian majority.  And people doing drugs, who are they hurting?  No one, if they have an available supply.  And if I tell the president to  off, what stops him from throwing me in Gitmo?

The Patriot Act allows search and seizure with no warrant and no probable cause.  I call that a huge intrusion.  If you tell cops, "No, you can't come in my house."  You are ed.  You'll go to jail now thanks to the so-called Patriot Act.

I can go on and on, the final nail is in the coffin of liberty.  It will take the second coming of Jesus that Christians are expecting to save us from ourselves.

Enemy combatants:

The recent gay marriage bans are evidence right there.

The Patriot Act, see section 213:

Canada is too socialist, I am considering moving to Italy however.  Going back to my ancestral home sounds really good right now.

I voted libertarian, and I do every time.  I was expecting a bigger turnout for Badnarik for at least some hope for 2008.  That did not come to pass, he got as many votes as Browne in 2000.

Kerry would've pissed me off less since we would balance back out and he'd perhaps work on social freedoms a bit.  The only vague hope I have now is the Bush gets a whole new cabinet of more centrist or libertarian people.  Which I doubt.
