IIRC Sullivan is a pragmatic pro-business councillor, while Green is a councillor who is also a former US citizen who fled here to dodge the draft during the war in Vietnam who hoped to ride the coattails of retiring popular mayor Larry Campbell.

Council results with 171/172 reporting:

Elected: 10 at-large members
Candidate Party Votes
 ANTON, Suzanne NPA 60356
 LADNER, Peter NPA 57948
 CAPRI, Kim NPA 52465
 LOUIE, Raymond P. VVN 52280
 STEVENSON, Tim VVN 50979
 BALL, Elizabeth NPA 50673
 CHOW, George VVN 50611
 CADMAN, David COPE 50549
 DEAL, Heather VVN 50026
 LEE, B.C. NPA 49892

My 16th birthday comes on Wednesday, BTW. That explains why I didn't vote. Smiley
