...of course the funny thing is that we will all die, eventually. Which is why panics such as this are so pointless, so stupid.

Question, Hash:

Are you worried/scared/concerned yourself? Be honest!

By now, I don't know if it is the conditioning of media here, but I feel just a bit concerned.

In Canada, there's the media that is crazy over this, with their big "PANDEMIC FLU" crap titles to scare the sh**t out of everybody. In addition, they fail to report that a majority of these cases are mild, instead focusing on "OMG THEY FOUND A CASE IN CANADA!!!11111 WERE ALL GONNA DIE!!!11".

Exactly the same in the UK. I can't imagine what they'll be like if it actually kills anyone here.

Oh, I bet you can. You just don't want to (neither do I!)

No. Most panics like this end up with relatively few deaths and even if not, we will all die sooner or later. Death is part of life. Besides, I've not been "well" for eleven years now. Because of that, health-scares don't really work...

At least there's no Mel Lastman striving to be a fool on world media.

I fail to see how that's a good thing. The world could do with a laugh right now.
