The assertion that most people in Wales are Catholics is much funnier than the spelling-and-etc mistakes. And most of our Catholics have Italian or Irish surnames.

Not just Cardiff; all of South Wales. Mostly from before the First World War though (back when more people moved to the industrial areas in Wales than away from them). There was once a time when just about every food-related shop in South Wales had an Italian name over the door.
