The person responsible for Avon in the first place should be punched in the gut.

That would either be that Redcliffe Maude (sp?) fellow, or whoever in the Heath government (or civil servant or whatever) drew up the new "counties" after deciding that they didn't like the look of the proposals of previously mentioned individual.

Either way I agree with you o/c.

Which would be unfortunate; a far more logical Pembrokeshire division would be to add the Tenby area to the reunited Carmarthen seat.
