Some blog says it tried to blackmail a secretly homosexual Senator into voting "Nay" on Alito. The post mention that the Senator was a Republican and mentioned a "rocky 2006"... which would seem to indicate that they are up for election this year.

I think most of the Senators on the list have wives and children.
