NDP; they run some real kooks in a lot of unwinnable urban ridings (something that they have really got to stopt doing; it damages the party's image. Better not to run a candidate at all than run a lunatic) and I wouldn't vote for that sort of candidate... but then again I wouldn't live in that sort of riding.
But on the other hand, the Social Gospel types out on the Prairies are great Smiley

Although there is a small chance I might vote Conservative.

Is that if Ottawa South is very close and the oppertunity to claim bragging rights for beating a McGuinty is too good to miss? Wink

Nah, you should see what he thinks about Tammany Hall types Wink

He'd most likely be stuck with being a swing voter from hell. Again Grin

Yeah, a Conservative-NDP swing voter ... then again, these aren't as uncommon as you might think in Canada ...

You've just described the largest part of the Saskatchewan electorate Wink

I've worked out what his nightmare riding would be, btw. Vancouver Centre. Hedy Fry (who must come close to being his nightmare Liberal) against Svend Robinson (and whether he's heard of him or not, he is his nightmare Dipper).

Winnipeg and Regina are urban Wink Although in this context "urban" seems to mean Toronto, Vancouver et al rather than a blue collar city like Winnipeg...
The NDP in the Prairie provinces have always been more moderate than the federal party (and much more electorally sucessful, at provincial level anyway) and there's always been a strong religious element; Tommy Douglas himself was a Baptist minister.
One interesting feature of the NDP in Saskatchewan (not so much in Manitoba) is a marked fiscally conservative streak; the main reason why the federal NDP did badly there last election was the fact that the provincial government jacked up taxes to fill in a budget deficit (please compare with the approach of the B.C NDP to fiscal matters...)

It's not as though you seek out Yuppy-cum-Inner City areas anyway is it? Grin

Yes, but it would be easier to just have a look at this site: http://www.electionprediction.org/2005_fed/index.html and read some of the entries. A lot of partisan rubbish, o/c, but some very informative postings as well.

You mean Bingogate? Or the mess over the Skeena pulp mill? Or the mess over the Ferries? Or... [etc etc repeat ad nasuem...]

IIRC they ran the provinces finances into the ground as well. Not the worst government B.C has ever had. The SoCreds were even worse...
