The Seventh Seal, The Three Colours Trilogy, A Short Film About Killing, Il Divo, Citizen Kane.

The list might change by tomorrow. Don't ask me to given an order.

Immediately I'm tempted, for example, to put Once Upon A Time In America on there, somewhere.

Here comes the defense of Citizen Kane!

It's an intelligent and complex film that makes certain important (and very serious) points without labouring them or treating its audience as utter idiots. Also, and for what little my opinion is worth, the acting is wonderful. The direction, shooting, editing and so on are all fantastic, and far more inventive than people sometimes remember. It has a gloriously theatrical feel quite often, and I think that's a good thing. It's an excellent piece of dramatic writing and is also often hilarious.
