Hah! A majority wanted Democrats to push through their agenda? Not a chance. Democrats won because the Republicans started unfunded wars, expanded government, and had poor ethics, despite campaigning on the opposite.

You missed my point. To make it clearer: when you describe "what the American people want" (or whatever) you are describing what you want. You are making the (common) error of assuming that your beliefs and values are the norm within your society.
