we already have an abortion bill before the senate.
it needs to be taken care of first.

No it doesn't.  Who says we can't vote on two bills addressing the same issue?  The real congress does it all the time.

I urge all senators to vote for this excellent new Tweed abortion bill.

*ponders proposing an amendment to make it 147 days, 15 hours, 42 minutes and 35 seconds (approx) to bring it in line with 5 lunar months*

Nah I won't, makes it seem even more arbitrary.

Don't you think the arbitrary limit of 150 days underscores the arbitrary nature of abortion laws.  There is no difference between a fetus at 150 days and 151 days.  This is why I oppose abortion at all periods of a pregnancy, because there is no magic day when a fetus suddenly becomes a human being and any effort to establish a time after which abortions become illegal will necessarily be arbitrary.

That being said, I would rather set an arbitrary limit on abortions than allow all abortions to be performed unfettered and unregulated.

I support this bill.

I don't understand why nobody other than Nym and three senators had a problem with this bill when the time limitation was established in trimesters but now everybody seems to have a problem with a time limitation in days.

Just make up your mind and vote on the bill.
