Oh well, it is our loss.

The deal will continue with or without the US. But good luck getting anyone to work with you when you operate in bad faith.

Kim Jong Un hasn't pulled out of the coming summit with Trump yet

Hopefully the end result will be the US removing its tentacles from every conflict area in the world that we're somehow responsible for.

If you think that will be a result of Trump (other than because we've destroyed ourselves so thoroughly we can't do it), then you're dreaming.

Trump is not removing the US from from foreign conflicts. He's just destroying our ability to use soft power (trade deals and diplomacy), which will eventually lead to squandering our hard power (military and other resources) while Russia and China laugh at us.

Eli Lake... where do I remember that name from?

Oh, yeah. Way back in 2003, explaining how we just HAD to attack Iraq because of Saddam's WMD.
Is a war against Iraq legal?

Warmongering, lying scum ought to be laughed out of any serious discussion, not given a soapbox.

While Lake has little credibility (despite his opposition to Trump), in the spirit of fairness it should be pointed out that he’s advocating against use of force in this article.

Calling for a 21st Century version of Operation Ajax is not any sincere opposition to the use of force, it's just a vile scumbag trying to keep the blood off his own hands, because it always makes such a mess.

Trump will likely be responsible for more Jewish deaths that Hitler was, given the current population of Israel.

David Duke and the rest of Trump's fanboys are undoubtedly thrilled.

Excuse me?

Now Iran is free to restart up their nuclear program and turn their "death to Israel" threats into reality.

Most Republicans believe that all Jews will burn in Hell. Thanks to Trump, they may actually burn in nuclear holocaust instead.

Israel has nukes. Why would Iran nuke Israel when Israel would just nuke back?

You're assigning rational thought to genocidal psychotic armaggedeonist religious nutjobs.

I've lost track here - are you talking about Iranian mullah's, the right-wing Israeli government, or American Republicans?

so don't yall think Israel and the USA should just go full "hammerdown protocol" on Iran now?

As in, put down their hammers and stop acting like every international disagreement is a nail in need of airstrikes to pound it flat? Yeah, sounds good.

The Iranian people are proud people who call themselves Persians as opposed to Arabs.

But their leadership needs to be removed and replaced with a democracy

Maybe we should try doing that ourselves, here at home, before we go repeating our failures for other people?

Maybe we can ask our friends in Riyadh - even as they and Israel collude with the newly empowered  Bush II-era Axis of Evil to start yet another war, invade yet another Middle Eastern country, and topple another sovereign state’s government  - if they know anything relevant regarding 9/11.  Roll Eyes

Maybe we can ask our friends in Tel Aviv about their illegal possession of nuclear weapons and their decades of lying about it.

Hey, if we're gonna play this game about supporting terrorists and amassing illegal arsenals of weapons of mass destruction, let's play.

Israel wasn't threatening the United States, even if they were in possession of WMDs, they're on our side.

"Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists" and Iraq, as well as Iran, Syria, Libya, and others, chose not to support the USA, meaning that they were aiding the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 by not joining the coalition against the terrorists.

You think Trump is a terrorist and enemy of the United States? Interesting.

I'm confident you'll condemn Terrorist Trump in the strongest terms, upon learning that he is "with the terrorists".
