compared to good music or to other Billboard chart-toppers?  the first isn't a fair fight, but I think it more than holds its own against the Iggy Azaleas and Zedds of the world.

as for the 'message', total and categorical apathy.

Even holding against standard pop fare, I think it's dogsh**t.
