I think there's a difference between 'I'm worried that...' or 'I just feel that...' posts and observations made from data. It doesn't mean that either is right or wrong but I'm not sure this thread is supposed to be tracking gut feelings right now.

CNN early exits:

When did you decide who to vote for?

last week 4%
before that 93%

That's the most useful exit poll result so far.

I'm enjoying the morning shift.

Can I just say how good this site has been at giving a good narrative of what's happening to help explain it to those around me.

There was nothing inappropriate about my post that was deleted in this thread.

If you think the next four years is going to be all rainbows and kittens and kumbayas, you are incredibly naive.

You just watch. These armed confrontations between BLM and the redhats are just the beginning, and all I can say about that is I thank the Lord I don't live in D.C. or any other major city. Because it's going to become very ugly, and very bloody.

Depends how the media would cover such conflicts. At the end of the day, we're going to have to focus back on COVID-19 and getting money into people's hands and getting jobs back. Don't let these fringe people dominate the narrative, Far-Left & Far-Right goons do this as some cosplay therapy while you also have opportunists that could care less about what those two factions are fighting about as long as they can loot which then comes to a class issue and wage disparities in this country. It's a big problem that needs to be addressed eventually.

Quote from: Revelation 18:21-24
21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

22 And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;

23 And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.

24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

No disrespect to your beliefs, but I'm not religious.

You don't have to be religious to see the writing on the wall. It's written in red.

Take some time away. Do something fun and breathe. We'll get the results soon.

Congratulations to neolibs for getting this opportunity to resume your war on the working class. I'm sure you'll make Bezos & Co. proud.

The neolib war on the working class never let up in the first place.

Indeed it revved up these past four years.

According to exit polls published by the NYT (https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/11/03/us/elections/exit-polls-president.html) Trump has doubled his share of LGBTQ voters since 2016. Can someone explain this?

McCain got 28% so it's not wildly unexpected.

I'll say something about the gays later. But the LGBT vote is 7% of all voters which is impressive.

The trend in ballots still waiting has been consistent in nearly every state. The early vote was a nationwide trend and has been known for weeks. The networks know this. This should have been called yesterday.

At least CNN is at the point where they're saying we know who's going to win but can't call it yet because stupid BS.

Wasn’t Trump going to be making a “major announcement” at like 11:30 this morning? What happened with that?

I think he was tipped off about the Election being called for Biden, so he went golfing instead

Plus ça change.

Too much celebrating considering Trump is still president and the election is only legally binding if those currently in power allow it to be--and they likely won't

LOL give it up. EVERYONE is abandoning Trump. SCOTUS has already made it clear that they’re not gonna steal it for him.

He has outlived political usefulness to literally everyone. Doesn't negate the wide open space for obstruction to commence.

Indeed, this is a Pyrrhic victory at best; at worst it puts McConnell back in the drivers seat entirely.

Presidents come and go, but Cocaine Mitch is forever. I hate that he's becoming the Mike Madigan of federal politics, but you do kind of have to respect it in the way that one respects, say, Lex Luthor or Dr. No.

True, but the red hats creaming as Mitch bangs on about the deficit and foreign interventionism is going to be unlikely. And that's what matters the most. There will be no 2am fix. It'll be a hell of a comedown.

Looks like Biden just cleared the 3% popular vote victory mark on the NYT's numbers.

One of the worst but now forgotten takes was that Biden needed over x% lead to be sure etc. Some were saying 3%, some as high as 5%. The vote spread for Biden was actually quite effective.

I'm suspecting that the Fox exit polling is better than CNN's

Given the sample and it's with AP I'd agree.

One amazing take away from this election is that many Americans don't know how any of this process works from rehistering to voting to counting. Or they do and prefer to martial conspiracy ahead of basic civics.

I'm quite happy at this point for Biden to be a caretaker President spending the next four years prosecuting every single person involved in the Trump administration and half the Senate and every group of influencers who have funded this sh-t. I want to see their blubbering faces at trial so that 73 million Americans will have to pretend to be Jo Jorgensen voters by 2022.

Every MAGA cheerleader deserves to be called a traitor to their face. No ifs, no buts no maybe's. Public shame.

Traitors all.

The main issue is that the GOP at all level from local, to state to national are outwardly anti-democratic and have open and public disdain for the democratic process. They have increasing disdain for the cities and city-centered government. The next Trump to come along if he or she ascends power will never let that power go. Republican legislators will gerrymander and disenfranchise en masse. There's no need for an active militia as law enforcement is so far gone in the USA, they will be a branch of that government subjugation. If states or cities rebel, federal government will intervene to quash them. Resistance will be considered unpatriotic.

Half the country will watch what's left of the news, the other half will watch the crafted fiction.

So crush it now. There's no other opportunity.
