Amy Coney Barrett met with Trump yesterday. There's a decent chance that she also contracted COVID-19. Republicans might not be able to ram her in before the election. She now has to go into quarantine for 14 days no matter if she has it or not.

Ugh. I just got a bad idea about where the writers might be going. The Senate confirms ACB then she dies from COVID.  I hope I'm wrong.

He got a cutting edge treatment which seems like they are possibly worried about his health or know something we don't about this cocktail treatment's effectiveness and safety.

Assuming you're referring to the antibody treatment, there's zero reason to doubt its safety, just whether it'll be effective.

A sympathy bump requires sympathy.  I can't imagine anyone who wasn't already a Trump supporter who is going to have much sympathy for Trump over his getting COVID-19.

Not really. FDR worked very hard to keep quiet how badly polio had affected him. You almost never saw him in a wheelchair or using his braces.

And we have the most likely next president in cognitive decline.

What could go (even more) wrong?

Even if Trump were to leave office before January 20, I haven't seen anything to indicate Pence is in cognitive decline.

I am assuming the Biden/Harris transition team already has plans to comprehensively clean and disinfect the White House and Naval Observatory before setting up residence after January 20...  

The way Trump is acting, he might need to use the British option to thoroughly disinfect the place.

Look at all of the people who still go to clubs and stuff packed into a dancefloor with lots of others. Of course we see that, but a lot of people, especially in America, have no regards for their neighbors. And not all of them are Trump supporters. But rhetoric like this appeals to those people, they want "positive vibes only" and don't want to be reminded of the virus.

I'm sure that an introvert, full of negative energy (that constantly worries about a Biden +20 lead being good for Trump) person like yourself, certainly has his finger on the pulse on what extroverted, "positive vibes" young americans feel. Tell us more.

My predictions were virtually spot on four years ago while many thought Hillary was going to win North Carolina and even Texas. I don't really use math when I make my predictions but my gut feeling is usually right about this stuff.

And Trump's gut told him he couldn't get COVID-19.
