But yeah, I could see Phil being one of the few that actually does find his way into politics.

Ironically, I think I'm one of the most likely to get out of politics (especially if certain things don't break the right way in a few years).

It's also funny that I was mentioned for the PA legislature. That's not exactly my thing. I do, however, have a friend that will likely run and I'm going to be involved with that.

Being in politics can take a lot or next to nothing. It varies. Believe me, I've seen it. I've seen people really have to fight for credibility while others are total jokes and you'd have no idea how they got where they are.

lol, have you ever visited your state legislature and talked to the legislators?  They're all essentially one-issue politicians, except for an elite few.

Yeah, I work for one.  Tongue

I understand what you mean and, believe me, I know that there are some real clowns but I've always been hesitant to call these people total losers or dopes. It still takes something to get elected and re-elected and to know the basics. It isn't the easiest thing in the world.

I could see Phil reliving the legacy of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Preston_Brooks

the guy on the floor would be like a 130 year old Arlen Specter

It is somewhat of a goal of mine to take back the Class I Senate seat by defeating Casey in 2018 (LOL @ the thought of him being in DC for that long but just go along with it) and returning it to its rightful holder. I'd resign after a few days if the Governor would agree to appoint Rick.

I could see lots of people doing local government stuff, Afleitech doing something very important in the Parliament, Phil becoming a Senator. Yeah there is tons of potential for a famous Atlas Forumite.

LOL... Phil becoming a senator... sheesh... one can dream, but don't be ridiculous!

Oh...thanks.

You could just cane another senator though and you wouldn't have to resign

The point is that the Class I Senate seat here is Rick's seat. I'd resign it and let him have it.

My point is that if you're expelled you wouldn't have to resign, Rick could still be appointed

Oh. Right. Eh, no thanks.  Tongue
