West Virginia. While it is becoming more socially conservative relative to the country than it once was, many people seem to be misinterpreting it as hostility to the political views of social liberalism when it isn't; it's hostility to the projection of social conservatives as backwoods redneck idiots. It comes down to the understanding that they're the butt of the joke rather than some distant Republican businessman.
