Not sure what the point of this was?

Of Schumer switching, or of the vote in general?

The vote itself.

Dumb

Nancy would be foolish if she did something like that

The fact is there is not enough votes to pass this bill alone without reconciliation

Progressive Dems will most likely vote against it and it is ridiculous to assume that there are enough Republicans in the house who will be willing to help moderate Democrats pass the bill anyway

The fact that Kevin McCarthy has yet come out in favor of a bipartisan bill that even Mitch McConnell voted for should be a huge warning sign to those 9 idiot Dems who really believe that republicans in the house are going to actually help them pass this bill if a lot of progressive Dems don't vote for it

What makes the 9 moderate Democrats "idiots" and not the so-called "Progressive Dems" who are holding the infrastructure bill hostage right now?

Progressives are aligned with Biden on passing both measures.
The conservative Dems are trying to sink Biden's budget plan.

2022 will be rough for the Democrats if they can't even pass the compromise reconciliation as-is.

Senator Manchin is throwing shade on climate-change provisions in the reconciliation bill:

Manchin puts foot down on key climate provision in spending bill

Huge surprise from Senator Exxon.

That's that then:

Remember their names:

Quote
Democratic Reps. Scott Peters of California, Kathleen Rice of New York and Kurt Schrader of Oregon each opposed the strategy, saying it discourages the development of new drugs.

Detestable. Considering Cuellar's part in whipping votes for Rice, I truly hope Cisneros him down.

Weird how the 'fiscally responsible' moderates and deficit hawks never seem concerned about this.

The worst is when these conserva-Dem hacks feign an interest in fiscal responsibility while in reality they're simply acting in accordance with their corporate doners. If he was sincere in his concern for the "brutal fiscal reality our nation faces" he would be adamantly opposed to the military budget increase ($8T over 10 years), and be strongly in favor of the tax increases laid out in the reconciliation bill.

Sinema looks to be demanding a vote. No idea how she’ll react if it goes down. Probably willing to tank everything now or then if she doesn’t get some victory.

Considering the BBB would get an actual CBO score once an altered version moves through the Senate, holding up the process for that is ridiculous and arbitrary. Pelosi and Biden ought to be pressuring the six party conservatives right now. They're the issue here.
